Getting there:From Tullamarine Airport take the Tullamarine Freeway to the city. Exit at Flemington Road, continue along Flemington Road until you reach the roundabout. Turn right (south) to enter Elizabeth Street. Turn left (east) at Victoria Street and then right (south) at Russell Street. Turn right (west) into Little Collins Street. After crossing Swanston Street, the Causeway Lane is on the right. Cafe Laurent is on the corner. The entrance to the hotel is 50 metres up Causeway Lane located on the left-hand side.
Check-in Procedure:Hotel address is 327 Bourke Street Mall , but hotel reception is located in Causeway Lane which runs between Little Collins Street and Bourke Street Mall (just before Elizabeth Street). The hotel offers 24 hour reception. Bags can be left with reception for early arrivals. The hotel will collect the guest's booking voucher and requires a credit card pre-authorisation to cover incidentals the guest may incur during their stay.
Car parking:The hotel has an arrangement with Wilson's Galleria car park located at the corner of Little Collins and Elizabeth Streets. Discount exit tickets have to be purchased from hotel reception prior to exiting the car from the car park. Please contact the hotel direct for directions and cost. Due to the central location, a car is not required when staying in this centrally located hotel.
Child Policy:Standard Double, Twin and Queen Rooms have a maximum capacity of two (2) persons per room. Superior Rooms can accommodate for up to three (3) persons. Children under the age of 12 years of age stay free of charge, if existing bedding is used. A cot can be provided at a charge of AU$5.00 per night, or the sofa bed can be used at a charge of AU$45.00 per night. Persons under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult guardian throughout their stay.
If you want a place in the city that is central that you can walk to any city location or transport, this is perfect. The rooms are small but large enough. Holiday in the city, not the room. The car park is a short walk but is excellent value. Current charge was $16 weekday or $6.50 for weekend exit. We left our car there 6 days and it was $16, that's less than $3 a day to park in Melbourne CBD. If driving in do your bag drop from Little Collins Street and then take your car to the car park. would certainly stay here again.
On arrival, we were extremely pleased with the location but found the room size TINY!! There was no cutlery or kitchen tap so you needed to either get your water from the bathroom tap or buy some!! it was also a slight inconvenience having to catch TWO separate lifts to get to any level higher than level two :/ The staf were quite friendly and we found it extremely kind of then to print something off for us free of charge because the hotel printer was currently out of ink. We found a couple of hairs on a couple of the "clean" towels and were pretty disgusted by it. But overall, this hotel is clearly all about location, location, location with bourke street mall just downstairs as well as a few awesome little cafes who did all day breakfast! The other positive aspect was certainly the aircondiioning! In comparison to previous hotel experiences, the airconditioning kept the room well ventilated and cool as opposed to other hotel rooms where it will often be hot and stuffy with no chance of controlling the temp!!

Basic accomodation at a very central location in Melbourne on the Bourke St Mall.
The position is fantastic. So close to everything, shops & transport. Very friendly & helpful staff. Just love staying there.
Good central location, although we only stayed one night. Asked for a wake up call at 7 am but got one at 6 am! Wasn't too pleased about that. Good that they supply a continental breakfast which suited us.

Value for money at the price obtained through Hotel Club. Location perfect in the heart of CBD shopping. Only problem with location taxis being unable drop and pick up at door.Rooms small for two people but well appointed, comfortable, and spotlessly clean.
Given the location and the price per room the hotel is an excellent choice for me whilst in Melbourne. Staff were most helpful and facilities adequate for short stays. Great to be able to open the windows for fresh air.

Our stay was as good as those of previous occasions. When other guests banged their door close it reverberated through our room. Perhaps guests could be advised to take the door to the door jamb and gently push closed. That might help a lot.
We were surprised to find the Causeway Inn on the Mall was better than I was expecting. The location is fantastic being right on the Mall with easy access to public transport (Trams and Trains). Our room was next to the lift but was very quite with no problems getting a good nights sleep. The complimentary breakfast was a welcome start to the next day with fruit juices, fresh fruit, cereals, croissants, various sliced bread for toasting and coffee. We would stay again.
The Queen room I occupied was clean and neat but it was very small. As I was only a single occupant for one night it was not a major issue, but I would not like to occupy a room that small with more than one person for more than one night.

i think its fairly priced with such good location, pretty much everything can be easily accessed by walking. room is small but fairly clean, soundproof isnt good. though concierge is nice but hardly understand what hes on about---heavy accent and speak super fast.... other than that.very satisfied.
this is our third stay at this hotel. the location is fantastic. beds are comfy and shower good. in the room we were first allocated, the aircon was noisy, so we asked to change. This was carried out willingly and promptly by the very helpful reception staff and we had no further problems. This hotel is great value for money.
Very convenient and easy access around Melbourne. Quiet and comfortable and would definitely stay here again.
