"Hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay in Oct., 2008. The presentation of the foyer and hotel staff attitude was very good. Showers and bathrooms were old and below standard but were subject to the upgrade / renovations. The area after dark saw large groups of people, of shady appearance, hanging around the corners everywhere, but kept to themselves. The area during the day was good, handy to downtown and transport. I went for basic and I'm sure if you want to pay a little more you would get more. Bed was good, pillow a little hard. BYO pillow. Staff were friendly and helpfull.
