Well positioned near the central shopping area of Shanghai. All the hotels we stayed in in China had hard beds this hotel was one of the better ones. The airconditioning is very good and it needs to be in August.
This Hotel is very well located with thousands of shops close by along with two metro stations. The room is more spacious than expected and breakfast is good. Concierge tends to be "shy" and could be more proactive. For soccer fans - this is one of the few hotels in Shanghai that can offer live English Premier League on its TV (ESPN and Star+) channels!
This hotel is definitely centrally located, for business as well as for vacationing. You walk right out onto busy Nanjing East Road which is a shoppers paradise. Kilometres of shopping on a pedestratian mall for all varieties of items. It is also in the right side of town for bargain hunters at Yu Garden and these markets are a must for any visitor. Just remember to bargain hard! Cost is a little on the high side and you could probably get a cheaper hotel around the same vicinity. Service was not 5 star as I did not get my free dailies for 2 days until I asked for it at the counter. The Executive Floor provided not much more facilities or benefits. The only thing useful to me was their in-room PC and free broadband connection throughout my stay.
Very nice hotel at perfect location by the Nanjing road. Good and fast connections to the airport by metro and Maglev train.
