pricing is very good based on the promotion i got. if mosquito problem is solved, it will be really nice. overall is good.
I booked for standard room and it's not much like in the display picture from their website. In my room the air-condition isn't work. I let the staff know and try to fix but the same problem still persist again in the morning. Luckily I stay there for just one night! The best thing is the location. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Next time If I stay there again,I will try another room type
We had to ask for lightbulbs in our room. The room had not been checked by housekeeping. The food was also poor considering the standard in the restaurants outside the hotel. Unusually for Thailand the service was not that good.
Our family lives in Thailand and this was our first chance to get to Koh Chang!! Don't bother with Phuket, Koh Chang is a far better option. Trust me, we would know. Also, this hotel in my opinion had the best layout of any hotel on the island. If you have a big crowd of people get the American House as it sleeps 12 and is right on the beach. The rooms in the hotel were great also and the view was extraordinary.
We loved the spacious park with coconut trees (coconuts removed to protect the guests). It was easy to get out to the 'village' too. Despite the fact that they have only local standard for cleanliness (eg. clean up the the breakfast tables for the next guests), we were touched by their genuine kindness to help the guests. As for the types of rooms to stay, I would advise that you avoid the 'deluxe' rooms in the main building. The drains outside the balcony were disgustingly filthy, definitely not worth the higher price you paid (even for the sea view). Go for the cheaper bungalows, which are more authentic. As for the beach, it is peaceful, but it is indeed rocky, which makes it difficult to swim without bruising yourself. Of course, it would help if you are wearing the wet shoes.
lack : places to put clothes , to hang clothes : we stay several days and we need to lay out clothes
we lived in hotel superior, in front of us is the big park and swimming pool, and then the sea, so the view is very nice. But you can swim in high tide in the beach as there are rocks. It is worth to stay in this resort again.
This hotel is superbly placed with a wonderful view from any of the 'seaview' hotel rooms. It has a beautiful large swimming pool which feels cold compared to the warm sea and often needed leaves cleaning from it, as well as running out of clean towels and sunbeds quickly. The most disappointing thing was the lack of decent lights in the room, and the grotty bathroom with dingy awful tiles and mouldy black grout between them. I found dirt, fluff and hairs gathered in corners and by the bed legs, as if staff swept around hurredly but never vacuumed properly. The beach is not as nice as Klong Phrao, but still very pretty, if stony, in places, and the breakfast was good with lots of choice. Staff are very sweet and helpful, but the hotel lacks in sophistication and certain things one would take for granted elsewhere. It's close to many shops, restaurants, & Internet cafe's etc, so you can get meals, massages, laundry and many things far cheaper than using the hotel, which we enjoyed.
The general upkeep of the hotel is terrible! Our toilet seat had a band aid on it to keep it together, there were bare rusty electrical wires sticking up around the swimming pool and the state of the bungalows was a disgrace! However, the staff were very helpful in terms of service and the semi private beach was quiet - water very clean -jam if a little rocky.
Very good and quick service. Beach towel service to be improved.
Passage rapide par cet hôtel durant trois jours. Acceuil excellent bon restaurant et très bonnes situation au coeur de l'île près de toutes commodités. Personnel très sympa. C'était au début de la saison touristique donc très peu de monde.
