Chateau Blanc Suites-Clarion Collection Hotel

Stayed 5 nights and we were very happy with the one bedroom apartment we had, I would not hesitate to recommend this property to any traveller to CH_CH for value for money.

Large rooms, a little dated, close to busy intersection, good location, easy walk to downtown and casino nearby. Pillows are flat and hard just like most hotels!

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful suite. The staff was extremely hospitable. The facility is so well situated that we were able to walk to a play at the Court Theatre on Friday evening and to a concert at the Town Hall on Saturay evening, not to mention an easy walk into the town centre. We've stayed at the Chateau Blanc Suites before, and we will definitely stay again. Keep up the good work.

What a pleasure to spend 2 nights at Chateau Blanc this week. This 3 storey all-suite hotel is centrally located in CBD Christchurch. Our corner suite consisted of a large lounge/dining area with plenty of room for the extra single bed (great place to put the bags), kitchen area, seperate bedroom and well-appointed bathroom. Add a wrap-around verandah and we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy our stay without the feel of being 'stuck' in a poky hotel room. The Chateau Blanc's a little dated in terms of decor, and the bathroom could use a refurb but these are small considerations given the many pluses. Reception staff were wonderfully friendly and efficient and the breakfast buffet is highly recommended. In my opinion this is a genuine 4 star property, and if you are after an apartment for a hotel room price, this is the place to book. We loved it!

The staff were friendly. Rooms need updating, especially the kitchen/bathroom and the drapes would have been better if they met when drawn closed. Otherwise very spacious and comfortable.

This was an excellent choice, close to Christchurch city centre, spacious clean rooms, ie bedroom, kitchen and living area, very good service, free access to internet, complimentary newspaper in the morning, excellent value, and nothing adverse.

One of my favourite places to stay. Been several times now and love the location. Rooms are huge and plenty of room to relax. Great on a nice warm night for sitting out on the balcony. Definitely stay again...would be nice to see the place done up a bit though, starting to get a little tired.

This was a pleasant surprise, very quirky 60 - 70's decor. Good service and friendly, helpful staff

An excellent choice. It is starting to look a little dated and could do with some re-decoration however it is very good value for money - will be staying again.

Extremely spacious appts. 2 full leather sofas- wide screen tv- Reasonable broadband- meal service if required and complimentary shuttle to Supermarket. Clean, comfortable separate bedroom , friendly atmosphere, lovely garden views mid way between town centre and Botanical Gardens. Kitchen a little dated- some work areas spoilt by over hot drinks or appliances. Stay again? Why choose anywhere else?

This hotel offers fabulous value. We stayed in a spacious suite with kitchen facilities for less than the cost of most hotel rooms in this location. Very friendly service and excellent location close to the city centre and the Casino.

Enjoyed the stay...excellent value for money!

Although the furnishings of the hotel seemed to be a little worn and in need of updating The service offered by the staff more than made up for this. They were always willing to answer queries and to help with directions. The breakfasts were superb, cooked to order and piping hot. Facilities such as internet access and a well equipped laundry room ensured a trouble free stay. The hotel is not situated in the centre of the city but a short walk through the park will soon put you in the heart of things. Very good value for money.

A few minutes walk from the centre, this is an ideal place to stay. Big rooms, friendly reception. I will come back....

Excellent apartment, well equipped and very spacious. Although the apartment did not have the feeling of being brand new, I felt that it has a good character as a result. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and there is a free internet facility in the reception area. The location is okay, a significant distance from the city centre but walkable and close to the casino.

Loads of space, with bedroom and separate kitchen area. Restaurants and casino which does a very good buffet within walking distance. Not far from Cathedral Square, and also short walk to free shuttle bus service. Kitchen area allows you to prepare food if you do not want to eat out. Laundry very handy too. In my opinion very good value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at the Chateau Blanc Suites! We usually stay in 5star hotel rooms but the space and value we experienced here made our stay far more relaxed and enjoyable. The location, the service and all the little unexpected extras made it a faultless and memorable stay for the 7 wonderful nights. We will definitely be back and recommend them highly to anyone staying in Christchurch! Don't waste money on overpriced hotel rooms when you can have an entire suite for much less! The apartment was very clean, but very dated, and had very few kitchen utensils eg chopping board, cooking element etc. making meal preparation a real challenge. I also thought that the apartment was expensive, especially as a basic breakfast was not included in the price.
