"You need a car to stay there. Driving instructions for finding the hotel are quite poor. Very limited breakfast (not a buffet), so it is nice to have the groceries shop in the same house. Rooms are quite old-fashioned, but clean. " - Anonymous
"Excellent rooms for the price. The directions they give from the airport need improving. It is in a semi industrial area but easy to get around to the many beaches to the north. Refuse collecting at mid-night is a surprise and very noisy.

"Superior double rooms like attic rooms with only a Velux roof window. bathrooms similar. Below average three star accommodation. Limited english spoken so basic knowledge of spanish language helpful. Semi rural location requiring 20 minuite car drive to Santander town and main beaches. Local resaurants limited, the nearest 10 minutes walk. Srongly recommend paying slightly more per night for Santander main beach location." - Anonymous

Coming from Madrid ( Nacional I Burgos-Madrid ), arriving to Vargas village take the way to Torrelavega ( A- 67 Torrelavega ) and take fork S-20 Sardinero, once in S-20 take salida 2 (Corbán, Liencres ).
Coming from Madrid by Aguilar de Campoo or from Asturias, you will connect with A-67 ( Torrelavega ) and you will take fork S-20 Sardinero, once in S-20 take salida 2 (Corbán-Liencres ).
Coming from Bilbao, pass the airport , take fork to Torrelavega, to take the motor way A-67 till find fork S-20 Sardinero, and then salida 2 ( Corbán, Liencres ).
If you are in Santander down-town, drive to the Sardinero area ( crossing the tunel or along the cost line ) and take the motor way S-20 at the futboll stadium, and in about five km, take salida 2 ( Corbán, Liencres ). Bus to the hotel . From the bus station , bus Santander, Sancibrián, stop at the CHATEAU LA ROCA HOTEL, or bus L8 Santander-Liencres, stop about 100 m. from the hotel |
