"If you are sick of eating hotel food & want to do your own thing then this is the place for you! We loved our stay at the Chic & Basic. The apartments are self contained so you can cook your own meals we were grateful for this as we had been travelling a few weeks. The apartments do not have a lift and the steps are steep so be prepared for that. Location was great with tour buses and airport buses within walking distance (no more than 5 minutes). Staff, very friendly. One thing to be aware of though - call 20 minutes prior to arrival at the apartments to give the staff enough time to get there to hand over your keys. This was overlooked on our part and we had to wait for the staff to arrive but it was not a problem! I would stay there again for sure. " - Desiree Frangos

"It would be worth spending a few extra dollars and stay at a little better place. No lifts so if you are staying on the 3rd floor you have approx 80 stairs to climb, with luggage " - Trevor Evans

The Estruc building is situated in a historical zone of the city, the apartments have from 32 to 45 m2 reformed .The apartments have been decorated with new contemporary design furniture. They are very quiet, comfortable and unsurpassable location. There is no elevator in the building. |

From Barcelona airport:
Take the train or bus to plaza Catalua, the apartments are a 25 mts from there.
From Girona airport, there is a special bus from the airport to Barcelona center.
The Chic & basic apartments are just in the main center of town. In surroundings you can find Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya ... .The beaches are 15 min walking |
