friendly staff great food at the restaurant clean rooms enjoyed my stay the view from the front across the water beautiful the pool is great plenty of parking nice walking track to the pier that goes along the foreshore in front of the hotel i would recommend to anyone wanting to visit geelong to stay here

Great location but felt like we were in a 3 1/2 start at best hotel.... queen size bed that had seen better days..... 2 inch gap under the door which made the room VERY noisy & woke us by 7am which was a pill with an 11am checkout. Reception said if we called, they could have put a towel down but by that point we were awake so what's the point. No compensation was given & we wouldn't go back.... happy to pay more for decent accommodation in the future.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was large. Appliances (fridge and TV) very old but working. We appreciated the free off street parking.

A great, cost-effective but perfectly located place to stay in Geelong. The restaurant overlooks Corio Bay, the staff there are very friendly and you can take a nice walk along the bay after breakfast. Rooms scrupulously clean.

Time spent was very short. I found the service very good, and staff very friendly and helpful. Did not have time to utilise the facilities, but breakfast was excellent and the view across the bay made it very enjoyable.

I have been staying at this hotel on and off for more than 20 years and seen different management over that time. The Chifley facelift has been good. I stayed in one of the older rooms and there is some wear and tear but it was a good rate. The room was clean and there was a letter to acknowledge repeat business. The Restaurant was good too as usual. Great position near the bay. If you are prepared for the older room (in this case) it offers good value for money.

Very enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and the food in the dining room is excellent. Only thing I could suggest is the batroom in room 30 needs upgrading it is looking a little tired. I would recommend this accommodation to friends.

Lovely Hotel in Geelong. Good location near the ocean. approximately 15 min walking distance to the city center.

expensive room service menu with five dollar surcharge samllish room but adequate for 1/2 overnight dissapointing tv reception and old tv room clean with stocked mini bar breakfast buffet "traditional" no surprises overall clean one nighter but not a memory.

Well appointed suite. Good walking distance from nearby restaurants etc.

Hotel was OK and well located but the 1980 model TV took the shine off.

The position was very good right on the Esplanade. The breakfast was good & included in the price. All of the hiotel was non-smoking so it was nice to be able to sit outside to have breakfast overlooking the seafront in an area which is usually reserved for smokers. The pool area could probably do with an upgrade

We really enjoyed this motel the view was excellant and the food was truely of a high order and the service was friendly and prompt

Ideal location for a stay in Geelong. Good service and rooms.

Bathroom tiles cracked and grout very dirty - so although the bathroom had been cleaned it looked dirty.

Outside of the hotel is nice. The rooms are clean and well decked out for a motel. It comes across as a hotel when in reality it is not. It is an upmarket motel is an excellent location. The restraunt is fantastic and is worth going to even without staying there. If you want a good motel stay here, if you want a good hotel you are going to be dissapointed.

Breakfast was very good, the dinner menu didn't tempt me though.

Reception staff were very approachable and helpful, great location and very nice room. Would stay there again and am happy to recomment it to others.
