Chifley Suites Auckland

Just spent a couple of nights here and were very impressed. The Reception staff couldn't be more helpful and the facilities in the flat were excellent. Very spacious 'apartment' on the 23rd floor with lovely views towards the harbour bridge. Would have liked to stay longer.

Small lobby and hallways umimpressive, but once we entered the suite it was wonderful and a great deal! Clean, lots of room, a nice view from 21st floor, and comfortable bed. So good to have separate room for sleeping from the main living area. Location was good, right in center of city near the sky tower casino and hotel complex, and one block downhill walk to the main shopping street, Queen Street. Front desk staff were most helpful. Very satisfied with this one.

Easy walking distance to Skycity, the wharf, free city bus stop. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom, but judging by the floor plans on the wall, even the one-bedroom units are spacious. Everything was clean and well kept up.

Good location, good views

The staff here were great and accomodating as I was stranded during the Chile Volcano ash episode. Fantastid view of the Skytower and Harbour. Would stay here again no question

Love this place

This is the best place I have ever stayed particularly at our reduced rate. Handy location, clean and fresh, tastefully decorated, well appointed with comfortable bed. Amazing view on the 22nd floor. No waiting for the lift and it was fast. We didn't want the suite serviced for the 3 days we were there and they left us alone. Reception was efficient and helpful.

Generally very good but for some strange things. The room key card doesn't last for the length of the stay and needs to be reset. The area is quite noisy at night and with nno double glazing was a bit of a nuisance.

Good position close to viaduct harbour and ferry terminal but lacks air conditioning so windows need to be left open for ventilation. This is not a bad thing except that it was very noisy. I was on 22nd floor but had to close windows late at night because of the noise in the street below.

What a fantastic surprise we got when we arrived at the Chifley Suites. Friendly and welcoming on reception and our apartment was amazing. We had asked for a view and our apartment had great views over Auckland city and the harbour - we were on the 24th floor. We were also amazed at the size of the apartment and the great facilities. Would definitely stay there again and will recommend Chifley Suites to our friends.

Great central location, not the prettiest building from the outside and the reception and public areas are not flash but the suites are really well kitted out and have everything you need. There seems to be four suites on each floor and this means that you don't have adjoining rooms, so we didn't hear any noise from the other rooms. The bed was really comfy and there was a decent sized living room with 2 sofas and dining table and chairs and kitchen area, there was even a washing machine in the bathroom. The bathroom was modern with a great shower. The staff were helpful. I don't think there are restaurant facilities or a gym, but plenty of places to eat nearby, it's about 5 mins walk from the Viaduct. For the price I consider this to be excellent value for money and would recommend.

Central location at a reasonable rate. Clean and tidy room. Courteous and attentive service

Great location and the apartments were very roomy, nice and clean and very comfortable. One problem, when I arrived to check in they did not have any record of my booking, luckily they had rooms spare and sorted it out.

The location is brilliant in terms of accessing the city but is a bit noisy if you are fussy about that aspect. I slept well anyway. The tv in the main bedroom worked well but the one in the lounge room was a bit fuzzy so I had teenagers in my room at night but that was a minor problem. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

The suite was quite small but very well priced and right in the heart of Auckland city

I booked well in advance and got a beautiful harbour view apmt at a good price. All the facilities necessary were in the apmt to be self sufficient. The location was ideal; close to buses, SkyTower, shops etc. I would strongly recommend staying there.

In general the Chifley Suites is an excellent place to stay if you want to be in the CBD of Auckland. I thought the hotel provided "serviced accomodation" However during the 3 days I stayed there, the room has not been serviced even once. The note on the wall of the bath room stated, that if you wanted to reuse your towels hang them up otherwise leave them on the floor and they will be replaced. How can you do that if you donot even enter the accomodation. The beds were not made and the floor not vacuumed.

I stayed on the top floor of Chifley Suites Auckland. The view is wonderful. The staff were very fantastic and very helpful (Thanks Laurel). We enjoyed our stay here and we'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in New Zealand for the GFX at Les Mills Auckland.

Excellent location, staff were friendly and efficient and moved us from a room we considered unsuitable (2nd floor looking out onto a carpark!) for our stay (4 nights) to a much nicer room on the 21st floor. Beware the all-in-one washer/dryer as the one in our room roasted our clothes and actually damaged some items (which the hotel has agreed to replace).

We would recomend Chifley Suites very highley they are in the centre of town and very easy to get to the cruise ships. The staff are very friendly and eager to help.
