Rooms smell like cigarette smoke. It's very close to Kuramae and Asakusa metro stations. Nice hotel for visiting Tokyo if you only expect a place to sleep and take a shower. Rooms are a bit small, there is no place for the luggage, but this is a common thing in Tokyo.
We got 5 rooms for a bunch of family, and we all thought the hotel was great. It was a bit outside the city, which was nice after a busy day of getting around. There are 2 train stations close to the hotel, and a really neat shrine and tourist area.
My sister and I stayed here for three days for the price of two so for that price I would say it is good value for money. The room is small, and one of us had to put the suitcase on the chair as there was no space on the floor. But it alright for us as we only used it for sleeping. Its proximity to the Asakusa subway makes travelling around very convenient and there was one day when we bought a one day Toei pass for 500 yen and saw most of the sights we wanted. Wish that there was at least one English language tv programme though for the nights we returned early.
We asked for a non-smoking room, but the hotel gave us a smoking room instead.
Rooms are small, but clean and cozy. Short 3mins walk to Asakusa Station (Asakusa Line), but slightly longer 6mins to Asakusa (Ginza Line). 6mins walk to Kaminarimon Gate. I like it that they have a computer near the reception whereby hotel guests can use the internet for free for 10mins.
Second time we've stayed here; tiny room but everything very clean and neat and good location. We ended up at the Grand Sumo Wrestling Championship at the stadium on the other side of the river - highly recommended!
Stayed here on the first day of my trip to Japan. The staff were friendly and were able to assist us in our questions. The room was very clean as well. However, I thought the room was slightly over priced for its size and the hotel was a little bit difficult to locate too. We had to ask a local before we found the hotel. The rest of the hotels I stayed in throughout my stay in Japan gradually became better as compared to this. On the whole, the stay was enjoyable.
Very friendly staff at a great location and very cheap. It's a basic hotel at a great traditional part of Tokyo. When I come back to Tokyo, what I hope very soon, I will be back at this hotel.
Good Location, 10 mins walk from Sensoji. 2 mins from from Asakusa subway (not JR), 15 mins walk from Asakusa-bashi JR Station. Small rooms, but not abnormal by Tokyo standards. Recomended!
