"There was no where to hang or put my clothes. I had to kill a cockroach on the wall the first night. The bed and pillows were lumpy. I had a private room, but was sharing the bathroom with the room next door that had 6 bunk beds of men, not to mention other quests down the hall. To use the bathroom to take a shower required I get up 5 am and it was filthy. The low price and location was not worth staying in such horrible lodging! My recommendation is not to stay there under any circumstances. " - Anonymous
"The room looked absolutely horrible. The shared bathrooms were not as bad as I imagined.
Having automated locker service and washer dryer in the basement is nice.
I would probably stay here again just because it's on manhattan and the bathrooms are bearable.

We cater for the 18-35 age brackets as we are a hostel for young backpackers, run by backpackers.

Surrounded by many restaurants/cafes (H & H Bagels, Saigon Grill, Gray’s Papaya, French Roast, Café Lalo, etc), specialty shops (GAP, Urban Outfitters, etc) and Jazz Club (SMOKE, etc...) Also in this area you will find American Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, The New York Historical Society, Columbus Circle, and Dakota House.

The hostel offers easy access to and from any location. Just steps from the 1 or 9 subway line, you are moments away to The "Worlds Famous Harlem" district or Times Square. From JFK International Airport you can take the A train to meet the 1 or 9 line uptown and exit at 103rd Street station, then walk down 1 block to 102nd Street, and 1 block west to West End Ave, we are of the corner. From LaGuardia Airport jump on the M60 bus and exit at Broadway and west 106th Street, then walk to 102nd street and follow the rest of the instructions. From the Port Authority walk to Times Square station and take the 1 or 9 line and follow the same instructions. From Penn Station again follow the 1 or 9 line uptown, and follow the instructions. Or just hop in a famous Yellow Cab. |
