This hotel is very nice, and located in a central location to the Vatican. Walked to the Vatican every day, and on the way there were many places to shop and eat along the main street. There were also many street vendors selling everything you could think of for reasonable prices. The Metro was only a few blocks away. The hotel staff were very accommodating with finding places to go, tours, maps, etc. Make sure if you state how many people are in your room because you need to have a room with that many beds.
Got a very average room overlooking the peeling paint in courtyard and the fire stairs, after complaining got moved to a nice room. Average service for a four star hotel. Wouldn't stay there again.
The room offers 1 queen bed, A/C, cable/satellite TV, hairdryer, heating, wi-fi or cable internet access, mini bar, Pay-per-view movies, room service, safe in room, direct line telephone.

An Excellent choice for a Rome stay.
I was amazed by the excellent service offered by the hotel. Many thanks to all personnel .
Hi, I enjoyed my stay in the Cicerone Hotel, however there wasnt any to tourist information you are handed a map on checkin. I also found the hotel extremely expensive, when i was checking out i was charged E12 for two cans of coke from the mini bar.
Hotel was excellent, hot breakfast was poor, but all other food was the best. The restuarant was very good and delightful. The concierge staff (esp Fabio) were brilliant, they arranged soccer tickets, tours tickets and always had the best information about Rome. I was very impressed and they really helped. Offered taxi's when we were going out and could not help enough.
beautiful hotel very central location worth paying a little extra for this hotel rooms were a good size compared to where our friends stayed also all the taxi drivers new where the hotel was which was a great help have to recommend the cicerone
Service was excellent and staff were very friendly
ROoms were very noisy as they faced the street. The breakfast should have catered more for vegans for a hotel of this rating. Staff were however generally helpful.
A nice hotel with a reasonably big room by Euro standards. It's pretty close to Lepanto metro station and 5 mins walk from the Vatican. Nice continental breakfast and the reception staff are really friendly. Recommended!
Room was nice & spacious, bathroom renovated and with good water pressure. Breakfast was terrible though. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location wise, this hotel is about 10-15 mins walk to St Peter's @ the Vatican City / Ara Pacis / Spanish Steps, and a fair walk to other tourist attractions such as Trevi Fountain / Piazza Novana/Campe dei Fiori/Pantheon (20min), Coloseum / Roman Forums (25-35 min). There are bus stops with several different lines stopping right outside, and we didn't know where to alight and we preferred to walk anyway, but i suppose if you deciphered the bus system all the sightseeing stops would be within easy reach. Overall, would rate the hotel a 3.5 out of 5. If the breakfast quality in particular could be improved, we'd be looking at a 4 / 5 rating - gotta start the day with good food!
The hotel is in a great location closed to Castle S. Angelo as well as the Vatican. It is a little bit old for a four-stars hotel, it could use some updating, but overall it is very clean. People at the front desk is extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet is decent, and the service is good. Compare to other hotels we have stayed around Italy and in Rome, Hotel Cicerone is very good value. The only minor disappointment is that too many tour groups are staying there, and it could be a bit over-crowded in the lobby and in the restaurant.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Cicerone hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful, rooms were modern and clean and location was fantastic...close to all the main attractions yet away from all the noise. The only downside was the breakfast. The 'American buffet' consisting of sludgy scrambled eggs, frankfurters and not great bacon. However, there is always the option of cereal, cakes, croissants, teas & coffee, so you won't go hungry!Don't let the breakfast put you off, we still highly recommend this hotel. You'd be hard pushed to find better!
The hotel was extremely well located. The hotel was exactly a 4* establishment that I would expect. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were very clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family - very good value for money.
Excellent location within walking distance of Vatican and other locations. Several good restaurants around the Hotel would recommend Ambasciata Di Capri in street at side of hotel. Only problem was air conditioning is not switched on until 1 April very hot in bedrooms on upper floors ( 6th floor )
Excellent, responsive staff. All very helpful .Ten minutes walk from Piazza Navona, St Peters, Pantheon etc. Bar open until 1 a.m. breakfast available until 10.30 p.m.
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and were very pleased with all amenties and service. Location is a lovely area a short and pleasant walk from the vatican / spanish steps / castel saint anglo. highly recommended.
Perfect Hotel, up to expectation and more. Food is great, restaurant is a Plus.
Very well placed - good area - good service
