"The Hotel Cidadela was excellent value for money. Whilst a little dated and tired in places, overall it is clean, safe, comfortable and spacious.
The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful. The pool was spotless. Breakfast was plentiful and the end time very flexible! Our little balcony and having a fridge in our room (as well as the BBC on our TV!) were added little bonuses!
The main downside of the hotel is it's air conditioning, which did not seem to work. With the main road going past our room, keeping the window open wasn't really an option, so getting the a/c fixed should be a priority for the hotel. Extending the wifi to all rooms will also be a good bonus for the hotel too." - Anonymous

"This is an older hotel but for cleanliness, friendliness of staff and value for money it is one of the best Hotels we have stayed in. The rooms in the older part of the hotel are large and there was still plenty of room even with an additional bed for our daughter. I would definately recommend this hotel for anyone thinking of staying in the Cascais area." - Andrew White
