Consumer Reviews and Rating

"I wasn't impressed with the size of the room or the cleanliness - the bedding and walls were stained and the sheets were turned every day instead of changed - but the hotel was nice overall and I had a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, the amenities were perfect. It was about a half hour walk to the beach, and an easy metro ride to the town. " - Georgina Green

"Reception staff very pleasant but there were often long queues at the desk." - Anonymous

"excellent hotel for budget travellers, super clean and roomy. it was worth of the money. Only one problem though: the hotel has very limited amount of parking lots, and it could be a real problem if you come with car. since all the parking places nearby are full. We had to park our car on the street for the night, and it was taken away by police, becasue we were supposed to drive it away before 6:30. (I have to say that the sign was so hidden, and it's gonna take some time to find it if you don't know where to look.) " - Yanbo Wu

"a nice hotel and good value for money. " - Anonymous

Hotel Information
Hotel description:    Seen from the terraces of the Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, dominating and watching over the city, Marseilles is a surprising mosaic of monuments and other buildings.
Near the harbour, you can see the towers of the Saint-Victor Abbey, which encloses crypts where Provencal Christianity began. Throughout the town, triumphant and prosperous 19th century architecture prevails, including the majestic columns of the Palais de la Bourse (Exchange), the aristocratic façades of the Prefecture and the Palais Longchamp fountains. Houses of the old town are perched on the sunbathed hillside, and the Baroque Dome of the former Hospice de la Charité stands out in the background. A little further away, small streets in the Panier district lead to the Major Cathedral esplanade.
Marseilles’ Museums boast an incredibly rich and original collection of cultural and historical heritage: the Mediterranean Archaeological Museum houses one of the greatest Egyptian collections in France, The Earthenware Museum situated in a sumptuous 19th century Provencal country house presents local traditional earthenware, and the Museum of African, Oceanic and Amerindian Arts exhibits items of rare quality.
When visiting Marseilles you must also discover the different districts and their specific atmosphere: quaint roads in the Panier district, lively terraces on the Estienne d’Orves Walk or the Julien Walk…
