Getting there:Located 3kms South of Melbourne CBD on Queens Road. Cnr Lorne Street and Queens Road. 600 car parking spaces. Take the Kings Way exit from the city and follow through until you veer right in to Queens Road. Once Albert Park appears on your right, the Sebel and Citigate is on your left hand side. For Valet Parking, give your keys to the Commissionaire at the door. Alternatively self-park in the Mirvac Car Park off Lorne Street (corner of Queens Road) and bring you car park ticket in to charge to your account.
Check-in Procedure:On check in you will be required to provide the following: 1. Photo ID 2. A Credit Card to be preauthorised 3. If paying cash- $250.00 cash per day plus ID. Please note incidental accounts settled via credit card are subject to a 1.5% processing fee.
Car parking:Mirvac Carpark is a part of the Sebel and Citigate Albert Park , and is located on Lorne Street. The carpark is under cover and cost for parking is $16.00 per 24 hours, 1 exit. We also offer Valet carparking for $29.50 per day. Carparking over peak dates is subject to change-please contact hotel for full details.
Child Policy:Infants 0 - 3 years of age utilising a cot free of charge. Children 4 -14 years of age sharing the same room as their parents and using existing bedding, are free of charge to a maximum of two. Children needing extra bedding will be charged AUD$36.00 per night. Maximum 3 pax in any room.
We stayed at this hotel because we had a Christmas function across the road at Powerhouse Function Centre! It was a nice quiet sleep, so that was great, we were on Level 9 in a quiet room! Beds are a little hard for my liking, but overall was a good quiet stay!
I had a great stay at Citigate. My room was in the Sebel tower and had a lovely view to Albert Park Lake. The room was perfect - clean and well equipped. The staff were excellent and very obliging; they even reopened the gym for me at 11pm upon request! Definitely recommend, and would most certainly stay again.

Very Quiet and comfortable,
Reasonable mid range hotel. Various issues the phone not working and a cigarete smell in the cupboard were a bit disappointing. There was also no mention of a parking charge until I was checking out. $16 for a Saturday night in that part of Melbourne is over the top.
I was actually upgraded and stayed at the Sebel, it was magnificent, will definately stay again

I would say the rooms are very clean and have decent facilities. I feel that the hotel is actually good with flat screen TV and have channels like National Geographic while some top notch hotel in Melbourne CBD that have stayed have not!!
I booked a room for three adults. Third bed not prepared, no extra towels, cup or glasses. Ordered pizza at 11.10pm and we got it at 12.30 after making enquiries. A 1.5lt bottle of water was $8.00. The room was hot at 23.5 and attempts to adjust it even by staff failed. We were disapointed.

The best night's sleep we have had in a long time! The bed and the pillows were the best I had sleept on, even better than my own bed.
Recently refurbished... beds new & very comfortable good value except valet parking should be free for paying guests. Breakfast not included
We were very impressed with the service, facilities and warmth of the Citigate. Will definitely be coming back. (only small complaint was that the bottom of the shower curtain was a bit grotty)

I stayed at the Citigate Albert Park for 1 week, and really enjoyed use of the gym. I liked the room and the LCD screen. The taps and plumbing when in use were very noisy in my room, but if improved, it would be a good place to stay. The gym was really good but the treadmills could be updated to a newer model. Generally, I rate my experience as very good but with these improvements it would be excellent.
Room was very clean, quiet and nice view. Would definitely stay there again. Reception and concierge very helpful. Would like the heated pool to be a little warmer.
Convenient location and easy to get tram to CBD area.
The Citigate was fantastic. After being at the Caulfield Cup all day all I wanted to do was the get back to a nice clean and comfy room and that is what the Citigate provided. The location is outstanding being so close to Albert Park and St Kilda. The service was also outstanding as we checked in early than the 10am check in time and left our bags there all day. There was no fuss. I would recommend the Citigate to all travellers.
