Citigate Melbourne

Hotel reception staff always friendly,helpful & professional. Top location with easy access to all travel & major attractions. Citigate King room is good & top floors have clear view of Yarra River. Lower down good views of city lights. Cleanliness was not as good as I usually experience & tea bags were not replaced during the time of my stay. Would stay here again though.

Very comfortable suite to stay in when in Melbourne. We found it very roomy, clean and exactly the accommodation we needed in close proximity to theatres ,shopping and sightseeing. Would recommend staying there when next in Melbourne.

We are definitely going to re-book this hotel again. It is so central to everything. The staff were always helpful, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room not very big, was modern, clean and very comfortable. We have been coming to Melbourne for the past five years to see the tennis, and this is without a doubt the best hotel we have stayed in.

i found the hotel to be very well positioned. close to the theatres, walking distance to the casino and little bourke st restuarants. the car parking was very reasonable. all in all a great place to stay. 10 out of 10.

We stayed at the Citigate Hotel in Melbourne for New Years Eve and it was a very comfortable stay. The service at check-in was excellent and the room, whilst not huge was certainly large enough for the two of us. The only criticism I have is that the air conditioning could be more powerful. Overall I rate this a very comfortable hotel and will certainly stay there again.

Only complaint is the room had no clothes hangers, so could not hang up suit & dress ready for Melbourne Cup. Took over 24 hours & 3 reminders to get them. The safe was also not working & had to have a new battery fitted also took over 24 hours. BUT was in a great location, staff friendly & very helpful. Would definalty stay again. they were 10 of us in this goup.

Great location. Clean rooms with comfy beds. just be careful stepping over the high bath as the shower is over the bath. Surprised & pleased at how quiet the room was. Varied & fresh breakfast. Would stay here again.

Ideal & quiet location opposite Flinders St station. Worth getting a room overlooking the Yarra River & attractive Station facade. Rooms are spacious with good appointments. Great to have alarge bathroom! Ate out every meal...good eateries close by & with closeness of tram access easy to go to local suburban eateries. I always stay here when in Melbourne.

A very comfortable and clean hotel to stay in, with easy access from there to many of the tourism sites. Reception staff very professional. I would stay here again.

I chose Citigate Melbourne only because of its great location in the corner of Flinders Street and Elizabeth Street. Round the corner is a Cooles Supermarket, which is open 24 h. Room was clean, despite carperted floor. Bathroom sizeable, bathtub available. Breakfast was not included. Reception- & housekeeping (cleaning) staff very utmost polite and helpful. Good value for money for such an excellent location in downtown Melbourne.

Overall the hotel was clean and the service prompt. However, one night the airconditioning was noisy and not working very well and the response was that a lot of people must have turned on their units at the same time and it was overworking (thank goodness it wasn't really hot or cold.) We also had to request clean glasses nearly every day, as they were taken away but not replaced.

Towels need updating and they no longer supply bath robes.

The room is clean. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. The location is great just opposite the Flinders Station.

Location 10 out of 10. Hotel staff very professional and provided excellent service. Room disappointing, needs a makeover, not enough drawers and hanging space, King size bed pushed up against wall not practical. Bath very slippery, made getting in and out of shower an adventure.

I would not hesitate to return to this hotel
