Getting there:Important: City Edge Wellington is located approximately 400 metres from central reception, City Edge Tribeca, Gipps and Treasury are located approximately 200 metres from reception in East Melbourne. On check-in please confirm the location of your apartment before unloading your vehicle. Directions: Albert Street is the continuation of Lonsdale Street in Melbourne CBD. From the city, the 109 tram from Collins Street along Victoria Parade takes 10 minutes. From Melbourne Airport take the Tullamarine Freeway/City Link to the city. Exit at Flemington Rd. Follow to the large roundabout and take Elizabeth Street. Turn left into Lonsdale Street. which becomes Albert St. Or take the Star Bus Airport Shuttle which will take you to central reception at 92 Albert St East Melbourne. As a country person City Edge provided me with a clean comfortable apartment to stay. It is close to major Hospitals (which I needed) sporting facilities and the CBD. Will recommend them to my friends

While the venue provided all we needed, some aspects, bathroom & TV need upgrading We enjoyed our stay

The only issue was not knowing that we had to walk to another City edge Appartment location, streets away, once we booked in. We also weren't told we had to walk the key back to book out.
The room was very clean, the location was quite good (near to city but fairly quiet), but a few small things were annoying like a moving shower screen with nothing to lock onto so it would swing in against you while showering, and an electric kettle too big to fit under the tap so it had to be filled from a cup. Also the toilet didn't flush too well and the TV was old with bad reception, but overall it was quite okay if you are on a budget.
We were very pleased with this budget accommodation. We walked to the city a number of times, but could have easily used the public transport nearby. We managed to get a park outside our unit for the 3 days that we stayed there. The kitchenette was adequate for breakfast, but it would have been difficult to cook a meal on the portable hotplates.
Lacked basic kitchen facilities such as a jug, small sharp knife and small saucepan. No rubish bags apart fro the initial one provided. No washup liquid or brush. No coasters or place mats. No tea towel. (a towel provided was inappropriate for the job).
Pleasant for purpose. Albert street traffic noise could affect a light sleeper. Good facilities nearby
The location of the place is not bad. But the building is very old, and for the money we paid, we didn't expect to see this kind of apartment. The staff is friendly though.
A well run place - all the requirements for the apartment were in place. For me the location in East melbourne in just fine. I had to arrange a late night check in and this was handled very effectively .
clean ,comfortable accomodation. close to tram but could walk to city if u wanted. Reception staff were informative and friendly.
After reading guest comments on the internet, I was concerned about the apartments, but they were very nice. The bed was so comfy, pillows good, and all kitchen appliances and utensils etc. were there. The view was a brick wall, but the street scenes from those apts would also be noisy, so we were happy.
Plenty of room with heaps of wardrobe/hanging space. Ten minutes walk to Melborne CBD through the Treasury Gardens. Kitchen facilities are very good with all appliances, cutlery and foodware of a good standard. Supermarket, liquor store and cafe in close proximity.

Car park (cracked, half dug up mess) doesn't do justice to what is otherwise a good, budget priced serviced apartment. Extra compliments to the staff who fixed our tv reception within minutes.
We stayed there in January 2005. The only potential problem is the parking space.
