City Garden Hotel Hong Kong

Everything was fine. Not great. Just fine. If you have no other choice, this hotel will be fine.

I had a lot of fun at the hotel. The rooms overlook a garden. In the morning, you can see the city dwellers practicing Tai Chi. The rooms are clean, and the hotel is located only a block away from the MTR subway station.

Chose to stay at City Garden Hotel when I last visited HK. Chose it originally for its price. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of room and staff service. The location is also great - convenient for everything - especially transportation. Will definitely stay there again in my next visit

The experience was good. A clean, comfortable hotel, and provides a good business environment. The breakfast is especially good.

good location within 5 min walk from MTR. Good local eating places that are open till late. Not much of view on either side of hotel because of other buildings surrounding.

Simple and clean.

Convenient hotel to go to city of HK, just several ins walking to MRT, plenty of food store around. price is reasonable.

H2 line of Airport Express Shuttle Bus from the Hong Kong Station now serves customers who stay in City Garden Hotel. Saved me time and money when making my city check-in at the mtr Hong Kong Station.

This was a great little hotel,a bit further away from the hustle & bustle of central HK Island but the train station is literally a street away so it was very convenient. Room size was big for HK standards,hotel was clean,service was ok (HK service in general is not very friendly we found but the staff here were very nice & all spoke english well) the hot shower at the end of a busy shopping day was like heaven!Our package included breakfast which was great, alot of eateries in the area do not speak english & there weren't alot of breakfast/lunch options(that weren't fast food /chain store cafes)so we were grateful we could have such a big feed with plenty of western & eastern options at the beginning of each day. If you are planning on staying here you can catch the A11 bus from the airport all the way to the hotel-drop off is right in front of the hotel which is so easy & only costs $2-so cheap & well worth it! Free wifi on the 70min bus run will keep you entertained!

I have been staying here on and off for several years, and this hotel has kept improving itself in all the key areas which relate to their guests' enjoyment of the stay. I would recommend it to any guest looking for a value-for-money and enjoable stay in HK.

Good hotel, good location - just a few minutes to MTR station. Food and shopping areas around the hotel. Would love to come back to stay again.

Good hotel with a lot of tenant throughout my stay.... However, was a little dismayed when asked for english newspaper from the reception. As just landed and a bit late, was hoping to catch some news and not aware the price of a newspaper, was caught of guard when the answer is ' your room exclude newspaper' dot. As we are staying for 4 nights and 2 rooms, an english paper only cost HKD7. Might as well buy it from the shop next door but the manner they put it is like, if you wanna paper buy the next price of the room. Overall stil a good place to stay but wil not likely do so again.

Good and clean. Location is valued for money. But room pillow a bit low.

what a surprise found city garden exceptional. breakfast & buffet menu fantastic. close to super market & mtr. highly recommend.

comfortable bedding. Sufficient amenities provided including welcome drink and fruits, sandals, toothpaste, comb and two complimentary drinking water each day of stay. Under 3minutes walk from airport bus(A11) #18 bus stop -HKD40 from HKIA. Taxi from HKIA will be around HKD300. Provides complimentary shuttle bus to Times Square in Causeway Bay. About 4minutes walk to Fortress Hill station. Next to this station is supermarket-Wellcome and Mannings-for last minutes toiletries, OTC medications. In front of Mannings is also bus stop for A11 going back to HKIA. Plenty of outside eateries for selection; a convenience store-7-11 is just next to hotel main entrance. Under 3minutes walk to tram station ; taking the one with flat fare of HKD2 going towards Happy Valley will take you to Causeway Bay area;and taking the one going to Western Market or Kennedy Town will take you to Wanchai area. Highly recommended for strategic location and value for money.

Room size is good, service is good to average, room view is all apartment views and can say no view at all, restaurant is quite noisy with other guests talking loudly, but hotel is quite good renovated and clean.

The hotel was very clean and facilities were excellent. Room sizes were excellent - particularly for Hong Kong. Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. Only two complaints really : our requests on the HotelClub booking form don't seem to have been passed on to the hotel as we were placed on a smoking floor when we requested non-smoking and we didn't have the interconnecting rooms we requested. Also there was a lack of information on the hotel in the rooms which would have been very helpful - especially when language is an issue.

I saw few bad reviews and I hesitated to book. I was very surprised to find very good hotel with polite and effective team. Hotel has very good locatioin and facilities are good (did not try the dining room)

Good location, the Fotress Hill MRT station is less than 10 mins walk from the hotel and just two stops from Causeway Bay. City Garden is more a business class hotel. Hotel is surrounded by many small local eateries, some which are good and some not too good. Airport transfer can be arranged by the hotel via the Airport Shuttle at HK$140/way. This is an easy and convenient way to get to the airport.
