good clean budget rooms with clean ensuite convenient location walking distance to town & K Rd nightlife area Friendly & safe good enough for short stays
Have stayed there a couple of times now. Very basic hotel but always very clean and organised. Only gripe I had was actually with the [your website] as it didn't have an option to book a parking space (you definitely need one if you have a car as there is almost zero in the way of free off street parking). One $200 parking ticket later, this was the most expensive one night hotel stay I've ever had :)
excellent basic budget accomodation limited parking albeit at extra cost was a real bonus definitely use again
Good basic accomodation. Poor TV reception. Necessary to book a car park if you have a vehicle
Extremely tiny rooms with limited air flow. Very noisy, both from the street and from the corridor noise.
a single room is quite small but has everything you need. great for a overnighter, very resonably priced and modern and clean. do recommend-
very samall rooms and TV. The price was good but not recommended for a long stay.
When I stayed at City Lodge, the broadband internet was down (for 5 days???), and insufficient car parks were available. Apart from that, it was good value for money.
Fantastic hotel very clean and very friendly staff. great location very close to the city centre. It was that good we stayed there again when we returned to auckland at the end of our stay in the north island
A very clean, private, quiet small hotel close to the CBD. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and as a female travelling alone I felt quite safe. Stayed in a Premium Single room. Kitchen and internet facilities downstairs are good. Would definitely stay there again when in Auckland, and recommend it to friends.
Road works were being conducted right next to my window which kept me awake for some time during the night - the room was basic but clean.
Great price and value for money for location and the expected level of service
I have stayed here before and think it is absolutely excellent value for money. It is my first choice when going to Aukland for price, cleanliness and position.
Just a 5 min stroll to the main centre. They have a good DIY brekkie package.
Hotel was in a great location in Auckland. The downstairs has a kitchen area which was fantastic for preparing your own meals. Also provided a good internet area there is you had your own laptop. If you have a hire car, I would recommend that you pay the $10 per night fee to house your car in the yard (If available) as it is extremely hard to get outside parking in Auckland. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were good and had nice ensuites. A little stuffy w/o aircon though. The hotel is located near the fire station who appear to have an early morning passion to turn their sirens on. This does not reflect badly on our stay in the hotel itself though. I highly recommend it for value, cleanliness and location.
I really was surprised at what I got for what I paid for. Was a bit nervous not knowing how the facilities would be, but it turned out to be really great! As a single female traveling alone, felt very safe. Very clean, very friendly staff. Great lounge area and kitchen on bottom level. Relieved to have my own bathroom :). My room had pretty much everything you find at normal hotel rooms, except the room was smaller. (TV, fridge, kettle, daily linen change) But didn't mind that, as I was out pretty much all day. Will definitly stay here next time.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the room. It was clean and efficient. If you are after the basics, then would highly recommend. Room was small, but compact-had fridge, TV, closet, bed, heater, shower, basin. Fantastic view of Sky Tower from my window. Location was great, short walk to Queen St. Highly recommend to anyone that's not after the frills. Great value for the money. Definately would stay agin!
Clean, reasonably priced, friendly, excellent location. But strictly no-frills: no TV, radio, clock or even a nightstand.
