Driving from the Airport Head west on General Holmes Drive toward South Western Motorway, veering slightly left at the South Western Motorway. Take the exit toward Marsh Street, turning right. Turn right to merge onto South Western Motorway. Merge onto General Holmes Drive and veer left at the Eastern Distributor (toll may be applicable). Exit onto Bent Street. Turn left into Bligh Street then right into Hunter Street. We are halfway between Pitt and George Streets. Rail The lodge is steps away from Wynyard station, a major part of the ''City Circle'' and only two stations away from Central station. From Central you have accessibility from virtually every other train station including Sydney Airport. Taxi Approximately $30 to get to/from the Sydney Airport. Friendly and helpful staff, but the rooms are small and beginning to look tired and shabby. Great location.

Although Hotel Club sent me an email confirming my booking, when I got to the City Lodge Hotel, they had not received my booking. When they rang the people at Hotel Club, the Hotel Club people hang up on them and offered absolutely no assistance to me, the cutomer who had booked through them! Instead, City Lodge Hotel helped me.
I was very happy with the service and the price was fantastic. I would stay at this hotel again
Very good location close to Wynyard railway station. Eventhough it was a small room it was very clean and good shower facilities. good common room area. Some noise from the street but I think very good price considering the location and the hotel room.
Friendly staff but room was very tight, beds too short if youre over 6 foot and if you want privacy in the bathroom forget it !
Great ;location, good sized room, nice atmopshere
only problem for me was the 2 flights of stairs to get to reception, very difficult with a 20K case and bad knees.
Great position near the ferry quays and very central, despite this it didnt suffer much traffic noise. No lift and up a couple of flights from the street and no car parking. Good staff and free laundry room. Ideal for a couple of days in Sydney if you can climb a few stairs, train station close by.
No lift for the hotel (reception is at 1st floor, and rooms at higher floors);all chinese receptionists very friendly [we received as a very appreciated present for the NYE a bottle of sparkling wine!]and helpful; room cleaning superficial (under my bed I found something pertaining to very previous guests...) but the location is really GORGIOUS! in the very center of the CBD, so that in a few minutes walk you can reach either Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. For this issue the hotel devotes the stay.
Room a bit on the small side, but good as I was on my own. Clean and new bathroom, room safe, plasma TV with Foxtel and other HDi channels. Only small mention is there are no individual controls for the A/C, and the A/C did not work as well as normal hotel ones. Staff very friendly and helpful with any requests I had. Allowed me to leave bag in Reception as I had a late flight out, plus managed to lend me a phone charger as I had forgot mine. Would definitley stay there again.
A small hotel - only a few rooms on the second level which had a kind of "home" feel. Free wifi access was a bonus

Hotel is in a great location just a small entrance to the hotel which made difficult to find. But once inside felt warm and relaxing. We were walking distance to Darling Harbour,and close to Ferry and train stations.with Taxi stand,airport shuttle right at the door. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - even when we had a few problems LIKE the TV didn't have a great picture,and the fact that our "Double" bed was actually 2 singles joined together made sleeping hard with the join down the middle.we were given a late check-out and free bottle Wine for the problems free of charge as we didn't fly until the evening. I would recommend City Lodge if you are after somewhere close for sightseeing and nothing fancy We will still stay there on next return trip
Great little venue. It is new, clean and great location. Staff are extremely friendly. Be aware that there are no lifts and multiple flights of stairs to access reception and rooms. Cable TV reception great, free to air tv stations reception not good.

Smaller then I thought it was, but still a pleasant stay.
Hotel is small but just what we were after location wise. We were walking distance from Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Pitt Street Mall and right near a train station. Was very clean, and has a sitting area with couches for you to relax (this area includes a TV and magazines) and also has a balcony area for smokers. The staff were very friendly and accomodating - we were given a late check-out free of charge and were also able to store our bags there for the day once we had checked out as we didn't fly until the evening. Only issue we had was the TV didn't have a great picture (which we only put on for an hour or so at night anyway) and the fact that our "King Size" bed was actually 2 king singles joined together - so there was a hard bit down the middle. I would recommend City Lodge if you aren't after a fancy, massive hotel room - but just somewhere you can dump your bags and go sightseeing and have somewhere to sleep at night.
The room is not very spacious as in the picture. It is located on the second floor with no lift. Overall service is good.
