City Lodge Soi 19 Bangkok

OK hotel in the heart of Sukhumvit. Near skytrain, shoping malls, a lot of restaurants. Taxi to Royal palace and major temples 100 bahts.

Deluxe room was spacious and newly refurbished. Staff helpful and patient. Location about as good as it gets. Good value for money on Sukhumvit.

The facility would have scored full mark if not for breaking down on saturday and remained so. We have to walked 6 storey everytime we go in and out. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay, the room is spacious and the location is excellent right at the BTS and MRT junction. I will stay at this hotel again if and when I return.

Clean, efficient hotel in an ideal location. Have stayed several times and definitely recommend it.

Room is big and comfortable. Near Skytrain and MTR, very convenience to move around. Price reasonable and reception is friendly. Free internet but limited to 4 hrs, could be better if not limited as I forgot to log off and the next time I logged in, it said my quota has reached. Anyway, will stay there again.

Older but renovated hotel so the rooms are quite large. Can't beat the location amidst many restaurants, bars, massage, spas, etc. Friendly staff too.

Very good location. Just next to the BTS station. The room layout is functional, neat, bright light. The bed is new and firm. Very good value. Highly recommended.

Good little hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast.

A littlr scary when you drive to hotel, but it is just one block from main road. Rooms are updated & clean. They need new elevator.

Location is great in relation to proximity to Sukhumvit attractions although this is offset by the noise generated by the main road traffic which is a problem from approx.0600. There is currently a construction site next door which seems to be in its early stages, although noise is only an issue during the day. Room (superior) was clean and comfortable although the bed too firm in my opinion. Bathroom is good with a big shower area a feature. Corridors of the hotel are reminiscent of a hospital ie. stark tiled floors and lack of decor. In general, this hotel is in a great location, offers clean, comfortable rooms and is reasonable value for money.

Very convenient to Skytrain. The room was nicely furnished and very clean. This is an excellent choice for an affordable, comfortable hotel with helpful staff.

I have commented on this hotel before; still maintain’s one of the best value hotels in BKK. Plus points: refurbished; clean; good sized rooms; small personal hotel; location - BTS and subway in easy, close walking distance; convenience - Robinson’s Dept Store and food court across the road; staff are very good; try Soi 23, close by, for loads of good restaurants. Minus – sometimes bit noisy (close to a major intersection on Sukhumvit); Internet services require a review and upgrade of the network. Free wi fi in the lobby often has problems; internet in the room took me hours to get operational on three of the five occasions I stayed there. To be fair to the hotel, they have fixed it on every time – but it was an inconvenience to me. On last visit complained to Amari's GM (this is an Amari Hotel) who promised to get things sorted -- we'll see. Still one of my top hotels in BKK for value and I recommend it.

A bit noisy because it's close to the busy streets, but other than that, this hotel is awesome!

Very good price for a reasonably nice hotel. Nothing to complain about. Location is fantastic, right next to BTS station, plus many shops and restaurants in that area.

First time I have stayed here. Having tried a number of hotels in the Sukhumvit vicinity the City Lodge is great value. The room was clean and well appointed - average size. Location of the hotel is good - minutes from sky train. The hotel is close to a major intersection and thus it tends to be a bit noisy - I didn't notice but my partner did. Free wifi on the lobby is useful if you have brought you lap top and want quick access. In a time when you can get a pretty disappointing deal in the mid range priced hotels the City Lodge stands out as fair value - I would recommend it if you need somewhere to sleep - but don't expect 5 star facilities. This is a good hotel and well priced. I will stay again there on my next visit. If you fancy an unusual dining experience go to Cabbages and COndoms in Soi 12 nearby.... great Thai food, the rest of the experience is up to you to judge !!
