Room was ok if a bit small, and seemed a peculiar mix of very modern facilities and some old-fashioned bits, as if it had been half-refurbished! A nice breakfast and a very good location (though in such a compact and attractive city, it might be hard to find a poor location!).
Breakfast to expensive
Ok hotel, great location in the old city. No parking nearby, but within 5 min walk it's ok.
We got a huge room that probably was very luxurious in 1989. Despite dated decor; room was spacious, modern tv/Internet, light and airy. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was spotless and clean.
Apart from the carpet that looks like someone had spilt a couple of tins of paint over it, the hotel is fine for 1 night. Fantastic location, just a few minutes from the Marzipan shop and all other sights
A perfect location in Old Town and everything was very nice with a very good buffet breakfast in the morning
Good breakfast, great location. Our room was rather dark and in need of updating. Bedspreads especially.
Lubeck is a truly charming place. The Alter Speicher is on the central island, and boat trips leave from quays near the hotel. The hotel itself has the winning combination of architectural significance and an excellent breakfast.
very please with this hotel- its location, the staffs and the price. i recently stayed in a double bedroom with shared toilet and i was surprise how good everything was for the price i paid. The room and shared toilet were clean. i would also like to thank the staffs at the reception who had been very friendly & helpful with our queries. will definately recommend this hotel.
Nice and friendly staff.
This was the third time we stayed at this hotel but it will certainly be the last. The room was far from ideal with an uncomfortable double bed with overlapping single sheets. The radiator was very close to the side of the bed so led to several bruises. The smell of drains was rather overpowering. We were not made to feel welcome.
Breakfast is not an option. We asked for breakfast an the price we got was 11 eur pr. person. So we took our breakfast elswere.
The personal was very helpful and kind. The location was perfect with carparking nearby. I would like too book this hotel if going back too Lubeck.
Very noisy street, even on a wednesday night.
This hotel is in an excellent location. Several restaurants, the opera house, and the city cathedral are all within walking distance. The railroad station is also within reasonable walking disance. (As long as you don't have too many bags!) The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. My only complaint is that the street noise was considerable at times from motor traffic and the nearby billiard hall.
