City Pilvax Hotel Budapest

Beds were not comfortable, very hard.

Normal checking time is 4PM, but we were there at 10 AM, and desk clerk instructed cleaning staff our room first, and were able to get into the room by 10:30 AM. Very friendly front desk staff, and spoke good English. The location was absolutely perfect, on a peadestrain zone street. The hotel was one block from the famous Vaci Utca shoppinmg street. The breakfast was very good. On the day of departure, we had to leave before breakfast opening time, and hotel prepared a nice little box breakfast for us to go. I am very satisfied with the hotel and would recommend. Caution, no elevator, so if you are on 3rd or 4th floor, good luck.

The location of this hotel is excellent, just a short walk from the main shopping areas. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast was usual continental fare, coffee was a bit weak. We ate in the hotel restaurant and had a very good meal but watch out for wine prices and always check your bill everywhere you go. There was an excellant cafe to the right of the hotel in the small square, good food and good prices.

The single room was small and not very cozy, but clean. And the location in Budapest was great for shopping and sightseeing. The friendly staff were very helpful and gave good information about sighseeing in the city.

The location of this hotel was great. It is located on a pedestrian only street and just a block fron the Vaci Utca.

The location in a quiet street and close to the city centre was really good.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. The location is very convenient for the Metro and other transport as well as the shops. We found that breakfast being available until 10 am meant a bit more time to lay-in if we wanted to. No complaints at all but it would have been nice for the hotel to have a lift especially for carryng the suitcases upstairs. We would definitely use the Pilvax again.

We had a nice spacious room right in the centre of Budapest for a very affordable price. Breakfast was good and varied. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The location was brilliant, right in the centre of the city and within easy walk of the sights and nightlife - so very easy on the feet. Good quality breakfast included and staff were all friendly. At the price, I thoroughly recommend the hotel.

The staff were wonderful and really helpful, spoke excellent English and generally made one feel welcome. It was in a wonderful location and we will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to friends.

We loved the Pilvax and heartily recommend it to friends, some of whom plan to come to Budapest next year. It was great on location. Its only lack was an elevator, but that was okay too. The staff were superlative in their assistance. Mike and Barbara Landreth

Excellent value for money, friendly and helpful staff and central location.

Very nice hotel in the centre of the city, easy to reach from the highway. The staff is very kind. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is good.
