Excellent place too stay, bid hard too find but that was probably my own fault. Very secure parking and just a 5 minute walk to main street and tram. I would highly recommend this hotel/apartment and would use it again if ever back in Bordeaux. Great prices as well.
I booked 2 nights before finding reviews for this appartment hotel on other sites. These were not all good, so we were a little anxious before arriving. No need ! The location is splendid, being in an area that has recently been revovated. It is surrounded by small arty places and a three minute walk from the river front where former "hangers" have been transormed into restaurants, bars and outlet shops for the big brands. The lady on reception was charming, and parking at the hotel was secure (though the area didn't seem at all "insecure"). The room was a good size and the mini-kitchen could have been used to make a good meal (but we ate out). Breakfast was offered at € 8, but we walked round the corner to a little sandwich cafe called "Faim a pain" and had a good breakfast for half the price. The tram to the center stops close by and it's easy and cheap to use - the jouney is less than 10 minutes.
Great value for price.
The Studio Apartment was clean and very good value for money. At only a twenty minute walk to the centre of town, the location was good, however it was necessary to walk through some unsavoury streets. In general the Appart'Valley Bordeaux was very good value for money, if your expectations are reasonable.
Located close to city centre of Bordeaux. A budget priced hotel with the facilties expected with the price you have paid. Reception opening is limited and no bar or cafe.
Good< if basic accomodation at a good price The larger suites are best at a little extra> Useful wireless Not far from the gare MIDI handy for connections< though not in the best neighbourhood Great as a place to work with quiet surroundings>
A last minute booking, I was very pleased with my choice. The reception was helpful, the room clean and quiet. When I return to Bordeaux I will re-book at the same place.
We found the hotel to be excellent value, and the reception staff were very friendly and most helpful. We chose a Studio this time, but found it too small for us. As we were only there for 3 nights, we did not ask for a change, although next time we will ask for the larger appartment.
Very hard to find; not ( yet ) on a map. Good to have a small kitchen with a magnetron, a coffee machine and a refrigerator. So it''s possible to prepare breakfast in your room, but the hotel has a breakfast room too. The hotel has it''s own parking facility. Good if you are satisfied with a room with a small kitchen, tv, your own bath and wc and a parking facility, everything in a sober style. You don''t pay too much for that.
I think the staff could be more forthcoming with information as it always seemed to bother them when asked anything. I had read they were kind of ignorant and ufortunately it was some what true. The place itself is in a safe area and just a 25 mintue walk into the centre of Bordeaux. There is a good supermarket about 5 mins walk away for supplies. To be honest and fair I would stay there again
The hotel desk closes too early (8:00 PM). Since we expected to arrive after 8:00 PM, we called the hotel and got directions. So there was no problem to enter our reserved room. However, there was no explanation about the car parking, so we could not get into the parking lot. It would have been better if the hotel desk had checked whether we were bringing a car when we called them.
I stayed in this Hotel which is a Hotel made up of appartments from 31.7.06 to 7.8.06. The reception is open until 8pm in the evening despite reports to the contrary saying it closes at 6pm. They are generally very helpful and pleasant. The Duplex appartment we booked had an upstairs with a large double bed(kingsize) and air conditioning both upstairs and downstairs which worked and was great temps were in the low 30s (Celcius). The hotel is about a 25 min walk from the city centre, there are shops about a 5-10 min walk away and bars and cafes 5 mins away along the quay. Trams do not go as far as the hotel yet but are being extended. A taxi from the airport is a bit expensive but if you get reception to phone and book a taxi for you it's a bit cheaper. I would stay here again no problem, the only problem would be that the sofa bed was a bit spongy, put the kids in it and sleep.
Tidy and modern facilities in a good location close to the river and a 15min walk from the town centre along the riverside. Being such a new place, it was a little difficult to locate, but the tourist office and reception (and locals) were very helpful in this regard.
The hotel is located some distance from Bordeaux center about 25 minutes by foot. However, a nice hotel!
Great place to stay, facilities good and includes a good size bath and coffee maker! A little away from the centre of Bordeaux requiring a fair size walk. Take a cab after dark. Closed between 12-2 but great restaurant across the road to take advantage of if you need to wait to check in. Parking costs extra but is secure.
This apartment block was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly, the facilities were great and the location and parking ideal. A bit hard to find without a good map, but once found, is easy to locate again. We used their sister facilities as a result of an excellent stay at Bordeaux. I highly recommend this place.
I have recently stayed in the Appart Valley hotel in Bordeaux for 4 nights. It was really a pleasant surprise. Bordeaux does not ahve many good hotels - I have stayed there several times now over the last 5 years and almost always been disappointed, so this hotel is a refreshing change. We had secure off street parking, a nice duplex apartment with some cooking facilities, the hotel is in a previously rundown area of Bordeaux which is in the process of being renovated. It is close to the river, where the quays are also being fixed up and there are some good restaurants. I would recommend the Appart Valley quite strongly.
very good accommodation,15 min. walk to info centre, tram and major shops
