City Waters Perth

City waters is promoted under category of SERVICE APARTMENT, When we arrived we were surprise that is a MOTEL. It should being promoted as a MOTEL as it is. The room is clean although a bit old but comfortable enough and have suffisient space for 2 adult + 1 kid. Location is GREAT, Just within walking to riverside, very nice jogging track along swan river, Barrack Jetty and RED CAT stops ( free bus service in Perth ) Over All, It is OK, Just they way it is being promoted is guiding customer to different level of expectation Martin Simanjaya from Jakarta - Indonesia

It's as the brochure says. 3 star hotel in a 5 star location. Facing riverside drive and central in the city it is an excellent location. Although it's 3 star, (lodge/motel), I would say the rooms were well maintained. Daily cleaning was good. Only 2 complaints. 1) Was there in winter, and was hoping to use the air con. It's working, but fan was really loud. Eventually did not use it. 2) Had a "neighboring" room, where the folks just sat outside the room and kept chatting & laughing etc, the whole night thru. No fault of the hotel (I guess).

Great location and the well equipped kitchen was excellent.

Good clean and comfortable budget accomodation in a great location. Pretty much a no frills, self contained unit that served our purposes well. Would stay again...

Good that they have free parking - not enough for all units, but sufficient when we were there. Other centrally located places charge significantly - need to factor in for the price. A bit old, but quite comfortable, obliging friendly management. Good value for the v central location.

Just stayed for seven nights , location great for city , ferry , CAT and normal buses . Lovely to be able to see the river. Ten minute level walk to trains (Esplanade station ). Accommodation was comfortable , big bed , good kitchen and bathroom , old but very clean , plenty of storage cupboards . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here .

Very clean and had a comfortable stay at this motel. Motel is about 10 minutes walk to the Barrack St jetty and city. There is a Vietnamese restaurant nearby and next door is a small convenient store. Staff is friendly and would stay again.

Clean,large room, old but comfortable & building is quite soundproof. Easy walk to town. Resturant and an upmarket hotel close. Full fridge, crockery, stove and oven. We only used the kitchen to make breakie. Would stay again

good experience. other then a stuff glitch ( that she discharge us before the time we told her & rented the room to other person while we r still in the room). everything else was good.

A very good basic option. Not flashy but has everything you need and in a great location. Staff are very friendly.

Good and clean motel facilities close to the city centre, which is a just a walking distance away. Close to the CAT bus stand. Complete with cooking facilities which is very convenient for our stay.

Had a wonderful time in City Waters. Great place, cheap and all the facilities one would need. It will be the place to stay when I come next.

This is an option if you want a bed, TV and kitchen and do not mind that the room is painted brick and the fittings were (not very well) hand built in the 1950s (seriously, it could have been the 40s since they are camouflage green). The windows are from the same era and were not secure on my room. The motel is in a very pleasant location - near the river and 5 - 10 minutes walk to town, but the design of the block looks to me like it was originally meant as three stories of one bedroom flats - there are stairs to walkways which run along the front of each row of flats. I don't know but suspect that many of the guests are long-stay and possibly funded by welfare. There seem to be numerous indigenous people living here. The rooms are relatively large for a motel and the TV is fairly modern and digital.

Pricing. Reasonable for Perth, but still more than you would expect to pay for 3 star in Australia.Very functional clean & comfortable.

Booked with my kids ages but the room had bunk beds :( had to upgrade and extra $30 a night, but other than that very good,

We found the motel very convenient and well priced and within easy walking distance from the city. The car parking facitilies were satisfactory. The kitchen was adequate and the room spacious. The only problem for some ( but not us ) might be the shower over the bath arrangement - for older people perhaps. We would happily stay again and recommend it to others.
