I didn't have a car so it was a long walk to the border; the room had a strange smell (I suppose more to do with the age of the hotel)and in the end I didn't stay the night.
great position in front of the sea and just 10 minutes walking from Gibraltar. The staff was nice and friendly and the room was clean and large. A very good breakfast!
liked: People at the reception were very helpful, good location for trips to Gibraltar, Cadiz. disliked: Stale air in the room :-) the window had to be open all the time
This is a nice hotel with spacious and clean rooms, good service and friendly staff. There is a beautiful beach just across the street and Gibraltar is just 20-30 minutes away by foot.
Really does need an update
Given room overlooking the sea with a small balcony which was very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was extremely clean.
You get what you pay for. This hotel is not the ritz but you´re not paying rtiz prices! Would stay in the hotel again as close to gibraltar (20 min walk to border) and saves the hassle of trying to find somewhere to park.
The Hotel was ideal for our visit we only needed bed and breakfast and it was ideal
We only stayed for one night so cannot give a full aspect, the room was basic but clean. Our room had no tea or coffee making facilities which one would expect in a supposedly 3 star hotel, the air conditioning in our room was basically ineffective. The hotel is only separated from the beach by a road, which poses problems when wanting to park near the hotel due to other members of the public parking in order for them to go on the beach. Therefore the hotel should allow residents use of the underground car park for free. All rooms have a sea view, which is good, because you would not want to look over the buildings at the rear which are a bit of an eyesore. Having said that, you don't have to look that way and we would stay there again.
Very clean and convenient hotel for Gibraltar and area. Road noise, as next to busy coastal road, but lovely views of Med. from balconies. We would stay their again!
this hotel is very handy if visiting gibraltar, also it allows pets, probably the only one in the area, good value for money, needs a little sprucing up, but i think this is in progress, continental breakfast ample, but coffee machine, dispenses tea, coffee, water, and chocolate, that all taste like chocolate, maybe they should invest in a new one, however we would still stay there again.
We are regular visitors to La Linea and Gibraltar and have now stayed at this hotel on 3 occassions, the first when it was new. We have noted a gradual decline in the condition of decoration and cleanliness of the general areas, in particular on the approach to the entrance area, which is shabby and littered with cigarette ends. The rooms are sufficient and reasonably clean and there is a good range of food at breakfast.
My son found 2 worms in his cereal and on notifying the staff some more worms were found on the wall. Needless to say, this does not seem satisfactory.
This hotel is situated on the seafront at La Linea. It is in a good location for those wishing to cross the border into Gibraltar being approx 1.5 Km to the frontier. The hotel is basic but clean but somewhat dated. It appears that little has been done in some years to improve the decor and general ambience and offers little in the way of facilities. The hotel is situated in an area which is, to say the least is "run down".
This hotel offers excellent value for money, a good location and very close to Gibraltar.
Though overall hotel was good value for the money, suggest you eat out locally rather than at the hotel.
It was a good hotel. Staff were very pleasant. Situated across from beach and walking distance into Gibraltar. We would stay there again.
That said, it is cheap and well located with no problems with parking or late checkout. I would stay at the hotel again on business overnight.
