Claerwen Retreat is located "high above the world" overlooking the Great Ocean Road, at Apollo Bay. It is the highest point in the area with stunning ocean views.

Our guesthouse, two cottages and studio apartments are nestled amongst 200 acres of gardens, rainforest and fern gullies. The beautiful beaches of Apollo Bay are a short ten minute drive away. It is a place where your spirit can rest.

Getting there:
We are located at the end of Tuxion Road, Apollo Bay. From the Great Ocean Road turn onto Cawood St / Tuxion Rd. After 1km the road will become unsealed. Follow the signs until you reach us at the top of the hill.
Additional notes:
- Coming from the Melbourne direction, Tuxion Road is the first street on the right after entering the 50km/h speed restrictions of Apollo Bay.
- Coming from the 12 Apostles direction, Tuxion Road is the 2nd street to the left after you pass the Mobil service station in Apollo Bay.
Check-in Procedure:
Check-in from 2pm on the day of arrival. If you plan to arrive later than 9 pm, please call us to arrange checkin. Our contact number may be found on your booking confirmation voucher.
Car parking:
Ample car parking is available onsite.
Child Policy:
Children are welcome. Children under 2 stay free-of-charge unless cot is required. In our Guesthouse children of school age and older only. By prior arrangement an extra bed can be supplied, please contact us directly.
