Claremont Guest House Melbourne

Free breakfast isnt much but it gets the job done. Australia is expensive so a free breakfast comes in handy. The wifi is free but you are limited to 100mbs a day. Good to write emails and surf. Bathrooms were clean. Very close to train station into town. Trains run very frequently. Room was small but good. Only problem was there were some loud girls next door. They sounded like they were in my room.

Fabulous location, immaculate facilities..... AND breakfast.

Could not fault the staff attitudes and their successful efforts to keep up with necessary cleaning, and the fact that the hotel is only metres from the tube - just fantastic

we stayed in Claremont Guest House for five days. The best things were the location and the free wifi. The Guest House is really close to the south yarra train station and tram stations. It is very convenient to go to most of the places. The staffs are nice and friendly. Everyday we received 100MB data and this is very good. Just the room was too small. Since the price is acceptable with good location, free breakfast and free wifi, I might consider stay here again when next time come to Melbourne

Service was very friendly; noise levels too high. Dust on all services. Floor was particularly bad.

Good guest house in a great location. Not ideal if you have a heavy suitcases to carry up the staircase, but overall value for money and very friendly staff.

I stayed in the appartments on Arthue street. It was very quiet, and had good access to public transport. The appartment was clean and had all the essentials for a short stay. Bed very comfortable.

Didn't expect much for the small price, but it was a pleasant surprise, clean, tidy, with friendly staff. Very happy with the whole experience.

Good value for money and great area - easy to get to the city from nearby train station (South Yarra) or No 8 Tram. Lovely shopping and parks within walking distance.

You pretty much get what you pay for.. though to be honest i have stayed in alot of BP and Hostels and this one is easily the noisest.. if you are going to stay here make sure you ask for a room that doesnt face Toorak Road..

Attentive staff, good size room, shared facilities were very clean and the only possible let down would be the lack of an elevator if you have lots of luggage.

Everything was neat and tidy for a low price with breakfast included. Short walk to train station. very happy

Staff are very friendly and helpful with booking enquiries for shuttle and tours. Rooms adequate budget style, but little soundproofing. Great location for train, tram and access to central Melbourne.

The thing that stands out about Claremont is their exceptionally friendly staff. In my stay there over 10 days there were a couple of issues that popped up, however the staff always did their utmost to resolve issues to my satisfaction. I think that goes a long way towards ensuring that a customer returns in the future and spreads the good word to other potential customers.

The room was very sparse it only had a double bed which was very uncomfortable the room had no toilet facilities the toilets were clean but again they were to far away again very sparse I would not recommend this guest house.

Excellent short stay budget hotel ,and only short walk to Chappel street,the Cafe,and shopping Hub of Melbourne. Rooms small,but ok . Bathrooms down hallway,and are shared,but hey!! you get what you pay for,and this is certaintly great value for money,with a free breakfast thrown in . Staff are excellent,and really efficient,they would put many larger 4/5 star hotels to shame!!.
