The Claremont Lions Hotel is a beautiful grade 2 listed Victorian Hotel situated in a prime position opposite the Pier & famous Carpet Gardens, with fantastic views across the channel. The Claremont offers an excellent standard of accommodation, food, service & a very warm welcome.... Just a short walk away from Eastbourne's excellent shopping centre, three theatres, the Devonshire Park Tennis Arena & new Cultural Centre. A healthy seafront walk is a must & maybe take the bus to Beachy Head & enjoy a 3 mile stroll back - all downhill...... All our bedrooms have been recently refurbished & feature en-suite shower or bathroom, direct dial telephones, TV with satellite, hospitality trays, hairdryer & many with fridges... There is a lift to all floors & four ground floor rooms accessible to ambulant guests with special requirements...

The Claremont Lions is well located directly opposite the pier. It is a little tired looking and in need of a facelift, but was reasonable value for money, despite our shower having no hot water. No parking provided, though free in nearby streets each evening until 0800am. Good breakfast included in £.
