Getting there:The romantic Claridge Hotel Zurich-city center is an oasis of peace set in flowered gardens, yet right in the city centre in a very quiet residential street, a few steps only tothe theatre, the Museum of Fine Art, the art galleries, university and ETH. The Opera House, Lake Zurich (Bellevueplatz), the Limmatquai and the world famous Bahnhofstrasse are within a few minutes' walking distance. A shuttle transfer to Zurich-Kloten international airport is available 25 times a day.
Check-in Procedure:check-in from 2 pm - check-out until 12 noon. A credit card must be produced upon check-in for guarantee or a prepayment of the room fee. The city contribution of CHF 2.50 per person/day is charged separately. Parking available CHF 25.- per car/day. Hotelshuttle Bus from Airport CHF 25.- (CHF 30.- for a couple).

We enjoyed a 5 night visit to Zurich and pleasantly surprised that we would have to struggle to be critical of the hotel. The food was delicious and the staff courteous and friendly. The location is great...easy access for buses, a taxi but minutes away and about a 15 minute walk to the train. I would recommend and will return.
Nice hotel in a quiet location less than 10 minutes walk to the old town and lake. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Excellent friendly service from helpful staff. My only adverse comments are: - the bar / restaurant is small and not particularly attractive. - lift is tiny.

Front desk service was wonderful, and breakfast staff was very solicitous. We enjoyed our stay very much and will recommend the Tifenau to our friends.
Our flight arrived in Zurich at 8am so we arrived very early and although they counldn't accomodate us straight away, the staff were very helpful and got us in by 12pm. Great breakfast but quite expensive so if you an get it as part of the room rate that's a bonus.
The Room was excellent, the service was magnificent, and the hotel was extremely clean.

A good atmosphere. Quiet street. Interesting rooms with individual character. Excellent Thai food meant I didn't need breakfast.
Zurich is pricey, so special deals/rates offered are gladly accepted. Great location, superb if pricey food, very comfortable accomadation and friendly staff - a real pleasure to stay there.
