Hotel description:    The Claridge Hotel Zurich-city center - was built in 1835 and renovated in 2002, still conveys the comfortable serenity of an affluent merchant's house. Set in flowered gardens, the hotel is in a very peaceful and quiet residential area, just a step from Zurich's Museum of fine art and main theatre. The hotel has its own parking lot. In January 2002, the new lobby has been created by the famous interior designer, Pia Schmid with Feng Shui in mind, using running water and creating a clear view through the reception into the hotel kitchen. In the new trendy restaurant "Orson's" with lounge and bar, Swiss-Mediterranean cuisine is served, with 30 wines even available by the glass. The "ACE" Bistro serves, well-known local specialities from Zurich, well worth the money. In 2006 all the bathroom had been modernised and the 35 spacious superior rooms and junior suites combine the style of the French King Louis XV (with genuine oriental rugs and antiques) with the latest facilities, such as the bedroom business centre (with fax, voicemail, photocopier and 4 modem sockets and a high speed wireless lan), hairdryer, scales, minibar, room shopping and a cosy lounge area. Getting there: The romantic Claridge Hotel Zurich-city center is an oasis of peace set in flowered gardens, yet right in the city centre in a very quiet residential street, a few steps only tothe theatre, the Museum of Fine Art, the art galleries, university and ETH. The Opera House, Lake Zurich (Bellevueplatz), the Limmatquai and the world famous Bahnhofstrasse are within a few minutes' walking distance. A shuttle transfer to Zurich-Kloten international airport is available 25 times a day.
Check-in Procedure: check-in from 2 pm - check-out until 12 noon. A credit card must be produced upon check-in for guarantee or a prepayment of the room fee. The city contribution of CHF 2.50 per person/day is charged separately. Parking available CHF 25.- per car/day. Hotelshuttle Bus from Airport CHF 25.- (CHF 30.- for a couple).
