The Clarion Hotel in Limerick was a good choice for this visit because my adult sons were along and they like to go out to the pubs and clubs that are all within walking distance of this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean however, if you want a full or king bed it is really two twin beds pushed together so there is a ridge down the center. Most of the staff was top notch! The bar and resturant staff (with the exception of one server) were not good. They all had snotty attitudes and acted like they were doing us a favor by waiting on us. The food service is very slow but if you don't want to go out some of the choices are very tasty. The breakfast buffet was really great and the staff at breakfast were FABULOUS! The other wait staff should take a lesson from them. There is a public parking structure right acroos the drive and they give a very good rate for anyone staying at the hotel. There is also a really great french resturant right across the street that is really worth a try (The French Table) great food & really great service. There are lots of pubs and clubs within walking distance and some have afterhours (until 5am) drinking. We would recommend this hotel to friends
The Clarion Hotel is situated right on the harbour canal and provides excellent views. It is reasonaly well situated with a short walk to the centre of town. The rooms are well appointed and modern. The only let down was the lake of computer facilities and we requested 3 beds (being 3 males but they would only avail us of a single and a double. Otherwise a nice hotel.
Room was very nice and spacious, but location left a lot to be desired because it is next to a reclycling depot. The restaurant staff were not very friendly, one rude in particular and felt like we were imposing, having dinner at at 9pm (the reception staff told us the restaurant was open until 10pm, as we arrived late after 8pm). The bar and reception staff were friendly and helpful. Will not stay there again. Choose the [other hotel] in LImerick instead if you need a hotel in Limerick!
The Hotel is very nice, rooms are very good and staff friendly. Could do with more staff at breakfast, had to go and ask for tea and no bread for toast, was about 10 minutes before replaced by which i had breakfast finished!
Price for a pint was very expensive @ 4.80.On checking out, i was very shocked at having to pay for parking as i was staying there 2 nights, it cost me 17.00 Euro.Absolute scandalous! Staff were friendly have to say, but i dont think i will be back, as hotel parking fee would certainly put me off as this was not mentioned when i was booking this hotel.
All staff and especially the front desk staff and more especially the one named Linda were extremely helpful. Breakfast times and quality was great. Definately would stay here again.
Excellent hotel. Staff very friendly - good, professional service. friendly atmosphere. Will return!
Hotel was spotless, food excellent and the service provided by the staff was second to none. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking again in the future.
lovely location and very efficient and friendly staff. our room had a view over the river shannon. food was escellent and the bar prices were not extragavent for a hotel. would definitly stay there again.
a little awkward to get to. about a 20 minute walk to city centre. excelland bar and restaurant, fine size rooms for a city centre hotel, very clean and great views. staff very friendly and helpful. nice hotel representing very good value for money.
The weather was bad so there was a leaking window and the wind was very noisy on 8th floor - perhaps this could be double glazed instead. Otherwise, very nice hotel - food was very nice and at competitive price. People were willing to help you at any time.
