Clarks Shiraz Hotel Agra

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The room was clean and well appointed - We enjoyed our stay and found their 7th floor restaurant very good indeed.

Overall hotel did not represent good value for money. The hotel welcome was good by receptionist and our rooms were not connecting as had been requested. After i made a fuss, they upgraded us to a next class with connecting rooms for children. Considering other hotels I have stayed in India there were cases where service was not very helpful and only on request - level of proactivity was not as high as one would expect. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall lacked the finesse, service and grandeur I would have expected for a hotel of this star level and cost.

Very pleasant hotel not too far from Taj Mahal. Maybe a bit expensive.

Nice place but do not expect too much for the price paid..

This appears to be a 5* hotel that is looking a little tired. Having saif that it was very comfortable. The major issue we had was with cleanliness - when we turned on the fan in the room a showering of dirt including party decorations dust and insects coverd the bed the floor and ourselves! On a much better note, however, the restaurant was FANTASTIC for food but as in most hotels, was more pricey than finding a nice outside restaurant.

Oldfashioned, generally in need of renovations in order to earn ranking for a 5 star-hotel.

It is true that this hotel would not match a 5* standards elsewhere in the world, however it is a nice and clean oasis from the hassle outside. It is an excellent value for money. The restaurant Mughal Room is lovely, good food and good service. There are many services in the hotel complex like suvenirshops, CD burning and a travel agent (though all are a bit pricey). When hiring a car, ask to see the car and the driver first. The travel agent changed our car and sent a very rude driver on the second day of our stay saying that that was what he charged us for.

what can i say - absolute top marks for this place. It is an oasis of western standards set in the east. It's wonderful, has a great pool, amazing service and a good - if a wee bit samey - restaurant. It is a five star hotel for two star prices. Book it. do not hesitate. It's only a couple of klicks from the Taj and as there ain't a lot else to do in Agra you need somewhere special to chill out and kick back. up there in the top three hotels we stayed in

This hotel is quite luxurious, especially when compared to other hotels in this price range. Quiet location, but still only a short rickshaw ride to Taj, local market and restaurants. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Cannot knock thois hotel. Great value for money and superb facilities and service.
