Colombina Hotel Venice

We enjoyed the stay over there very much. The location is perfect for sightseeing, especially Basilica di San Marco, its Campanile and Palazzo Ducale. You can use San Zaccaria or San Marco to access from airport by ship transport. The hotel staff are very friendly but they do not forget politeness. Room is relatively small but the average size of Venice in this price range. Cosyness and cleanness of the room will make you relax. The breakfast is no-distictive continental but good for early morning start. I strongly recommend this hotel for the ones who wants to stroll around Venice as short-term tourists.

The Colombina is a lovely hotel in an excellent location near St. Marks Square. There is plenty of old world charm and the staff is greatly helpful. However, we booked an economy room in the Colombina (which fronts the canal) and were given a room in what was the LaConda Hotel (their annex building in the back of the property). We weren't up to arguing after we were promptly told it was our fault for booking through Orbitz and not directly. Its a "buyer beware" thing.

A little difficult to find, but that is bout true for most hotels in Venice. Once you unpack, you are only 2 blocks away from St. Mark's Square and many other attractions. Excellent breakfast (included in your hotel fee). Friendly and helpful staff. Most of them speak several languages, including English. You can also have a water taxi take you from the hotel door to the rail station or marco Polo airport (100 Euros to the airport, but worth it if you travel with small children, old people or in a group).

We had two rooms - one in main hotel and one in annex. We didn't realise that this would mean we had to have breakfast in seperate dining rooms. Otherwise hotel very comfortable.

Good hotel in a central location (2 minute walk from Saint Mark's Square). Nice cocktails!

This hotel is in a perfect locatiom to explore the town. The staff are very helpful. Overall I couldn't find any faults, with the exception of the rooms on the top floor of the hotel which were too hot. There was no way to reduce the temperature except to open the windows which then allows Mosquitoes in. Overall this hotel was good value for the money.

The breakfast was a little poor but it was only a cold buffet. Otherwise this hotel was great, great value and fantastic location close to St Marks on a canal.

Third time in Venice and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed in. It may be pricey, most things in Venice are, but for the location, the beautiful rooms, the comfortable lounge area, the pretty bar where you can sit and have tea/coffee until 11.00 pm, the impressive food choice for breakfast - and a bath! - it's worth it and I'd definitely go there again.

Stayed in the annexe which was cheaper than the main hotel. The location is very central so its worth paying that little bit extra

It has been great staying here. The location is excellent and the staff are great. I have not enjoyed a holiday as much. If I ever plan to stay in Venice, I am sure I will pick the same hotel again.

This is a great hotel to stay at a 4 star quality. It has all the great amenities that you'd hope like A/C, nice bathrooms, nice linens, etc. It's a little difficult to find -but once you figure out how to get to it (near the McDonald's across a bridge off San Marco), then you'll be pleased with its location!

We had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of fresh fruit. Two minutes from St Marks square, but in a quiet location.

Excellent hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. It's a small hotel so more personal. Great location just a few minutes from St Marks Square. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again.

Tremendous location just behind San Marcos Plaza and near the Bridge of Sighs. Romantic. Very friendly staff - excellent service. Readily accessible by water taxi. This is our number one choice for Venice!

The Colombina is a wonderful, small hotel which is ideally located just a 2 minute walk from all the activity in San Marco square, yet feels worlds away in terms of peace & quiet. Another great feature is the ability to have a private water taxi drop off or pick up right at the hotel entrance vs. walking through the crowded streets of Venice with luggage to get to a hotel.

Loved it. Room was beautiful. Location fantastic. Could have used more food on site. Overall would recommend it highly.
