I spent last weekend in Boston at the Colonnade Hotel and I loved it!! It is a great location it is very close to Newbury st. and lot of terrific shopping. The hotel was very clean, modern and efficient. The room was perfect clean, large bed very comfortable and the staff was gracious and efficient. I would definitely stay there again!!!
rooms very clean staff awesome
Our Luxe King rooms are approximately 350 SQF (33 SQM) and exemplify a sophisticated design. They overlook the historic brownstones of Boston's South End or the city and Boston's Prudential Center. Each room offers plush pillow top mattresses, luxurious down comforters and linens, floor to ceiling windows that open, 37" LCD High Definition TV's, DVD players, i-Pod and mp-3 player alarm clocks, in-room safe, mini-bar, plush robes, 2 line cordless and hands free telephones, high speed wired and wireless internet access, Gilchrist & Soames bath products, full size hair dryers and shaving mirrors.
The room is nice period. Lacks natural as well as artificial light. I had to call for towels every day and one of the ones I got was literally a piece of rag.
Excellent location and walking distance to shopping and dining. Staff were attentive and the propery was first class.
Back Bay location is a delight. The in-house restaurant, Brasserie Jo, is outstanding!
The person checking me in refused to let me stay in any room but the smallest, located by the elevator (part of the room was cut out to allow for the elevator shaft). I offered to pay extra for another room, but she told me that "no larger rooms are available," which was not true. I assume I was refused anything but the worst possible room (not even the bathroom door locked or closed) because I was a middle aged female. I will never stay at the Colonnade again.
This hotel was beautifully refurbished and great value for money. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Boston!
Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Colonnade Hotel Boston. Location was great. Beds so comfortable and service was wonderful. Recommend eating at the Cheesecake Factory across the road - the menu range and food was divine.
Excellent, high quality hotel in a great location. Highly recommend.
Great location, very nice room. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
This is an amazing hotel for the price.
this was just a fabulous hotel and we got it at a fabulous price. the location was great -- you could walk to most places but if you were not in the mood for walking the metro was just outside the door. the staff were brilliant and actually talked us through how to use the metro. ok so the parking price was a bit steep but then all the hotels charge around the same price so don't let it put you off. i would recommend this hotel any time and definitely would stay there myself again
Very nico hotel, great location. The windows appear to be very dangerous because but they do not open all the way: it would be nice if that was advertised on the window. The door to the hall leaves a crack through which light and noises enter the room
The room was okay but smaller than expected for the price paid. The roof-top pool area (the reason we chose this hotel) was closed for a private function, we were not informed of this when we checked in and did not find out until we turned up ready for a swim. Also no coffee facilities in the room, which is unusual for a hotel of this price. Staff were friendly enough but not enough to make me return.
Mr [B...] the concierge is a pure treasure. We felt so welcome at the Colonade and they could not do enough for us at front desk. The porters could be a bit more smiley,,, We will definatley make it our preferred Boston location and would never want to stay anywhere else.
The only adverse comment is regarding telephone bills - it cost $36 for a relatively short call to the UK which is not far short of scandalous. So the hotel is fine so lonfg as you don't call anyone from the 'phone in the room.
no coffee making facility in the room
