the Colonade is right down the street from the Warwick Ave tube station so getting anywhere on the West side of London is very close. For breakfast, you can eat in their breakfast room or go right around the corner and pick up croissants and coffee. While we were there the hotel was undergoing renovations which meant scaffolding everywhere but the staff did everything that they could to make the stay convenient. We were put in a room that had scaffolding in front of it and the windows were unable to open. We had some very warm October weather so we asked to be moved and were immediately changed to another room. The rooms are well appointed with everything that you need from wifi, to iron boards and irons etc. The heated towel warmers and the sparkling water delivered every night was a bonus. I would highly recommend a stay here. The hotel is in a leafy exclusive neighborhood and while there are many restaurants close, it is surprisingly quiet at night.
We loved the Colonnade. The location was in, what seemed to be, a very safe neighborhood and very close to the Warwick Ave. underground (Bakerloo line). We traveled everywhere on the Tube, so the short two minute walk was a bonus. The staff were eager to please. The room was a bit small (although European rooms tend to be smaller than American), but very comfy. The bathroom was roomy (oddly enough) for a European bathroom. Would have been nice if the room price included a continental breakfast. The breakfast charges were quite high (but not surprisingly so, considering most hotels tend to charge a lot for breakfast). The hotel is undergoing upgrades right now, so our room view comprised schaffolding (we knew this). A great stay at a very nice hotel. We would come back!
Our Petite Double rooms are individually designed and reflect our colourful past as a private Victorian residence. Bedrooms vary in size, approximately 13m2 with an ensuite shower room. Small, but perfectly formed, the Petite Double is ideal for sole occupancy or a short stay for two.
The hotel rooms are all equipped with an array of modern comforts to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
The location is excellent with only one stop away from Paddington and a few minutes on foot from the tube station. The room was quite small and kind of inconvenient being on the 4th level since the lift only goes up to the 3rd. The furnishings have clearly seen better days. Staff was polite but not very friendly. The iron and trouser press were not working but a replacement was sent up quickly upon request. The air conditioner was old-fashioned and hummed so loudly, you can even hear the one next door!
A very pleasant hotel. The service was extremely friendly and courteous at all times. The rooms were fairly small as with most London hotels. I would perhaps suggest a few less cushions and accoutrements about so that one would feel less crowded. Two minutes from a good tube line. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.
Old but charming hotel. Close to underground station. Nice and quiet neighbourhood with good restaurants.
We booked for 5 nights. On arrival we were given a TINY room on the 4th floor, number 46. The lift only goes to the 3rd! There were no drawers for storing clothes and only 4 clothes hangers. It seemed very cold also. My wife phoned the desk and asked if there was another room at the same price available. Within minutes we were offered number 36 on the third floor. It was warmer and a little larger. We accepted it and had a pleasent stay. I guess they give the worse room to all comers and if they don't complain leave them there. Number 46 should not be rented in my opinion. Number 36 is also rather tight. We did not have breakfast nor dine in the hotel. The interactions with staff were polite. I would stay there again as its location suits me and its very close to Warrick Ave Tube station .
A little jewel in a great location. Rooms are perfect and luxurious. Many good restaurants around and you can fall to the nearby tube station (warwick avenue). The only silly thing they continue to do is charge £15 for breakfast, when you can get similar for £6 across the road or by the canal.
Beautiful hotel for a special weekend. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have vowed to use this hotel everytime we want to get away from Central London for a night. Bar/restaurant was not as stunning as the rooms and service charge was added on to absolutely every little thing. Very comfortable stay however and looking forward to our next visit.
Brilliant hotel and I stay there a lot
