Without staying at a backpackers, accommodations in Wellington don't get a lot more affordable than this. Keeping that in mind, I found Comfort hotel to be a good value and the location quite good. So, if you are there to see the town, and stay in a clean, safe place within walking distance to everywhere, this could be the right place for you. Its worth noting that things like breakfast, internet, and parking are all extra, so keep in mind this is a budget minded place where you can chose what expenses you think are important. So, if you feel like having a fancy place and living it up a bit, stay at the Museum hotel for roughly double, but if you just want a decent room for a decent price this is a good option.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice touch with the bowls of apples on the counter. Bed was comfortable and the shower had great pressure. Very clean and comfortable. Would go back again.

Good overnight stay, quite noisy as placed in a room right beside stairs and corridor to other rooms. Service and location (central city)were great as always.
I would stay again as it is all you need for a one night stay- its clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, the location is excellent, & the cafe is a little treat.
We found this delightful low cost but friendly service hotel served our needs for a 2 night stay to attend WOW! Rooms are small but well equiped and cost. Breakfasts are delicious. Street noise is a bit disturbing but wouldn't stop me staying again.
Tiny beds and tiny rooms, but a great location, including Simply Paris cafe just down the road which was THE BEST place for breakfast!!
Tiny rooms and small double sized beds, but perfect location and decent bar to watch the rugby in.
We would book there again the location is excellent and food was superb. The little cafe down by lobby has great coffee. This has been great value for money.
I was a little concerned when I read one of the reviews which was not complimentary, but I found the hotel very convenient, very good value, the breakfast was excellent, the staff helpful and although the hotel is a little dated, the experience was a good one and I would be happy to return.
A very comfortable hotel when all you need is a bed for the night! There are lovely lounge and bar facilities if you are around during the day. Good heating.
Very pleased to find this Hotel. Although the room was small, and the beds narrow, everything was very clean, a well appointed bathrooom and just right for an overnight stay and an early getaway. The lounge area and bar very very nice to relax ad meet friends. Location on Cuba street so close to a variety of eating houses, if yuo prefer not to dine in house. A nice expereince.
The hotel located at an excellent location. The service was good. Our stay was great and enjoyable. We will be looking forward for our future stay in Comfort Hotel.
Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised with the total experience. The service was outstanding and when asked for help with parking a trailer overnight in the secured area, it wasn't a problem. The décor throughout the entire hotel, from what we could see was fresh and clean. We will stay there again. Thanks.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. staff helpful & courteous. The Cafe bar was great for supper snack & drinks -CQ Cafe excellent for quick breakfast. These latter 2 serve Comfort & more up Quality hotel adjoining. this is an excellent set-up. Could not fault cleanliness & service from staff -From Senior Couple
We made a booking at this hotel when we could not get a place at the other hotel we were booked at for the following two days. As it turned out we much preferred this over the other supposedly higher rating hotel. The rooms were quite small but other than this there was comfort, excellent heating we could control easily, heated towel rail, excellent staff, welcoming reception and good reasonably priced breakfasts. Lap pool and spa were also availavle.Very close to other restuarants and bars including an excellent French one open until 5.30pm
Great value for money good position and very freindly staff, room was very basic, but would deinately stay there again cheers John
Great location being close to cafes and shops and also only a short taxi ride to airport. Service was good and the room was clean, comfortable and perfect for an overnight stay.
Great location, friendly staff, lovely foyer area. Nice to have opening windows and fresh air - the street noise they warn you about is not too bad. The room was quite basic, very small and a bit dated, but comfortable and fine for short stays.
I asked for a quiet room and did receive one. The room was clean, serviced daily, staff were polite and a great location. Newspapers were available daily including Sunday. A great deal considering the price I paid through HotelClub ($63) but was staying for 4 nights.
Great hotel and friendly staff.
