Getting there:Located in the CBD of Geelong in Malop Street, approximately 600 metres East of Bay City and Market Square Plaza's. From Melbourne: Take the Mercer Street exit to the City of Geelong. Mercer Street becomes Malop Street. Malop Street is one street South of the foreshore of Corio Bay. From South or West: Turn off M1 freeway into Ryrie Street, travel through the CBD, turn left into Bellarine Street (at the Geelong Hospital), head North for one block (towards bay), then turn right into Malop Street. Motel is located 100 metres along from this intersection.
Check-in Procedure:Pre-authorisation on arrival of all credit cards. Payment in full on arrival if paying by cash.
Car parking:Free secure on site parking.
Child Policy:Charged as an extra person. $20 Sunday to Friday and $30 Saturday.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very presentable and the location was excellent. Had a very pleasant stay.
Although not requested, we were given the Handicapped Suite. It was ok for us, but would be quite unsuitable for a handicapped person. The bathroom door opened towards the toilet. No way could you open the door and get a wheelchair past it to use the toilet. The shower had a 4cm door sill - again, no problem to us. So, clean and presentable, but not suitable for the handicapped.

We enjoyed our stay at Bay city Motel, the staff were very friendly and obliging, it was very clean and a credit to staff, it was only a short walk to the beach and Westfield Shopping Centre. Would certainly stay again while in Geelong. Thankyou
The room was fine just in need of a bit of modernsing.
We were just after a basic, good location motel for the night and this is what the Comfirt Inn Bay City Geelong was
Good clean, comfortable hotel, walking distance to Westfield, shops and waterfront.
The Comfort Inn Bay City Geelong is a good value motel within walking distance to downtown Geelong and to the waterfront. The only negative is the traffic noise from Mallop Street.
Double instead of queensize bed was unexpected and unusual these days.
Excellent location, good value.
Quite happy except for traffic noise along Malop St. However we can hardly blame the Motel for that.

i ended up spending 11 days at the motel --originally planned on only 1 night. Very good restuarant attached to the motel. Thai. Very close to the city 300 metres max. Good car parking, no cooking facilities but they do have a toaster and electric jug.
Very nice motel. Rooms are good size with large ensuite. Walking distance from the main street, with a good array of places to eat out nearby. Thai Restaurant adjacent to Reception area has wonderful food, very cheap.
