Cascades Motor Lodge opens out on to Lake Taupo, a beautiful swimming beach and lakeside walkways. This architecturally designed building offers a stunning setting and fabulous location for your stay, with restaurants nearby (within walking distance), and breakfast served to your room if you wish. Family units open on to either the heated swimming pool, or have their own peaceful garden area, and all units are self-catering. Studio units are spacious, and are either upstairs with a pleasant outlook, or downstairs with easy access from your car park. Free inernet available for e-mails, and free wireless at reception.

Getting there:We are located on Lake Terrace (SH1), which is the main road going through Taupo, on the lakefront side of the road. We are about a 4 hour drive from Auckland Airport, and about a 5 hour drive from Wellington.
Check-in Procedure:Check in time is 2.00pm and check out is 10.00am. Office hours are from 7.30am - 9pm. If you wish to check in later than 8.30pm, please advise the hotel directly and we will make arrangements for you to access your unit.
Car parking:Each unit has its own car park right outside, and extra car parking is available for boats etc.
Child Policy:We are a family motel and cater for children. Charges are as extra person ($20).

The studio units are sunny, spacious and quiet. They include a queen bed, sofa bed or chairs, dining table and chairs, wardrobe and kitchenette. The rooms open out onto a shared balcony with chairs to relax and enjoy the sun and the view. The studio unit kitchenette facilities include hot plates, microwave, fridge, tea, coffee, toast making facilities. The bathroom has both a shower and spa bath. The upstairs studios can be seen above the swimming pool area and have views of the lake to the west and north.
Perfect family accommodation right on the Lake Taupo's lakefront (no roads to cross). The family rooms are open plan with a lounge area downstairs and a mezzanine floor. A mixture of one or two queen beds and/or one to three single beds both downstairs and on the mezzanine floor. All rooms have at least one bathroom, this includes shower and spa bath, kitchen facilities & LCD flatscreen TV, SKY channels including Disney and SKY Sport 2 for dad!. The rooms open onto a private courtyard garden or the heated swimming pool. Both areas have outdoor furniture and BBQ's available for you in your garden area or by the pool. Free parking at your door.

We were greeted in a warm friendly manner -much appreciated after our long journey and our first night experience at a previous accommodation. Unit was clean - walking distance to lake - right out the front. Helpful staff - short drive to town and hot pools /spas.
Open space and good for family.
Thought the unit was great. Location was fantastic, being able to walk out the door to go for a walk along lake front was awesome.
The Jenkins were very good hosts, even cleaning the trout caught, great atmosphere and lovely quiet units.
Lovely spot. Very clean and friendly although the kithen badly needed more power points as one for the whole kitchen is not enough!!! Good stay and i think the price was ok......... Great clean unit with new towels every day. Would recommend it no probs at all
We had the best stay in all of New Zealand at the Cascades Motor Lodge. The rooms were fantastic and were modern and well equipped. Catherine and Paul went out of their way to make us feel welcome and provide advice and information. Thanks Paul for the use of the BBQ to cook our big trout!
Not in the town centre, but you wont be sorry you stayed here. Its well worth getting a corporate room, not much more money, and oh so worth it.
Everything shown and mentioned on the internet site meet our expectations, along with photos which can often be misleading. Apart from everything being excellent, I would like to mention the owners as having outstanding hospitality and going beyond what is required. We will definately be staying here again and will recommend to anyone
