Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Chicago

Because the only negative in the reviews was the size of the room, I upgraded for $20.00. It was well worth it! It said that we would get a "sofa", but what we got was a separate room with with a wet bar, microwave, small refrigerator and another TV. My daughter and two teenage grand daughters had plenty of room to spread out. I was told it is scheduled for a total re-do in the fall, but it was fine as it was.

Booked online and did not see any options for smoking and non-smoking. When I checked in late in the evening was given a smoking room. Frankly, was too exhausted from delayed travel from NY to Chicago to start requesting another room. lug luggage, etc. In the a.m. fire alarms went off. Called front desk. It was only "a test" but they didn't alert us to that. Was an unnecessary tension. Breakfast was nice but very crowded.

I am always looking for low price hotels that are super clean, updated interiors and in a great location. This hotel was all of the above. The room was super small - but that didn't matter to me. It looked like the room had been recently remodeled. It was a in a great location - excellent restaurants (Hub51) and bars right near by - and lots of action at night.

Excellent, clean (recently updated, maybe?) hotel in a great location (walk to all sorts of really great restaurants/bars right from the hotel) - at an unbeatable price. The room was small - but more important to me was that it was CLEAN. If you are looking for a bargain hotel in a great location, this is it.

Great location,comfortable bed,breakfast available. Walkable to many attractions.Parking is next door at a good rate. The only complaint is very thin toilet tissue !!!!

Conveniently located downtown hotel. Rooms well provisioned, if a little tight. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast choice ok, but a little limited, as well as the seating.

The hotel staff were very proffessional and provided extra personalized attention to our needs. The front desk have excellent knowledge of the surrounding area and take extra time out to insure that you completely satisfy with their response to your request. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

if you want to be in a very good hotel with fair price, good breakfast, close to magnificent mile, with a subway in a next corner and with a great staff, you must choose this hotel.

Conveniently located, close to everything in downtown and the North Shore. Good price for the location.

Good price from [this website] for well located hotel. Parking available in the hotel although have to remove your car from the garage, then find somewhere to park outside the hotel in order to return the garage key. Can be difficult to find somewhere in the morning during rush hour but cannot pay for the hotel until return the garage key so a catch 22 situation. Everything else about the hotel is good.

Attentive staff. Poor, boring breakfasts with few healthful foods, as well as overcrowded. Can hear people in hallways way too much from rooms. Very good housecleaning.

The location was excellent and service was very good. I am not a world traveler but the room was definitely overpriced (even though my travel was last minute notice and the hotel was at 87% capacity). The bed was extremely uncomfortable and even though check out was at noon, housekeeping knocked on the door at 8:30am and again at 9:30am. Overall, If I'm not going for comfort or needed relaxation, I might stay again if given a discounted price.

A very cosy and clean place at the heart of Chicago downtown, with lots of facilities and polite people working there. I do recommend it for holidays in Chicago Il.

I was very much impressed by the hotel and enjoyed my stay there. I normally stay at a hotel down the street even closer to Michigan Ave, but if I go back, would probably choose this one again instead. The breakfast & the 24/7 coffee was an added bonus! I would definitely recommend to others!

Great Location! Ask for a Double Suite - the size and view is worth the price. I will stay here again with my family (2 boys 5 years & 7 months.)

This was a great hotel in a great location! The only complaint I had was it has no computer facility but their is an internet cafe a few blocks away. The staff was so friendly and helpful and my room was awesome, especially for the price and location. It was a good size for a single person or a couple.

I was actually expecting less than I got with this hotel, thinking its main advantages were location and price. I did not expect my room to be so nice! The furnishings were modern and stylish and although the room wasn't large, it was a fine size for just me. There was an Internet connection by the desk and even a safe for valuables. The TV had plenty of channels, which I liked because I enjoy watching Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. The only drawbacks: lack of a view (my one window faced the wall of the building next door) and that I couldn't get XM Radio reception because of the buildings hemming in. But for price, cleanliness, pleasant surroundings and location--in the heart of shopping, restaurants and nightclubs--this hotel cannot be beat. I would gladly stay here again!

Very close to a good selection of restaurants. Well connected for buses and trains (the L). Nicely decorated. Good facilities for this sort of hotel. Good breakfast, but a few more breakfast tables would have been better (rather than sofas/coffee tables), but it's a multi-functional area and that's the worst comment we've got to make.

The room we had was small but nicely decorated and clean. We would definately stay there again. I would recommend it to friends too.
