Condestable Hotel Barcelona

Good value for money, but very noisy.

Great location close to Placa Catalunya and La Ramblas. Everything was great, only complaint was thin walls and on a noisy street so can be noisy, but didn't bother us. Would recommend.

Excellent location and still quiet at night, bathrooms very clean, reception staff helpful.

Location excellent - round the corner from Las Ramblas and Placa de catalunya where you can find tourist buses etc. Hotel check out was 12 noon and we were able to leave luggage as we had a late flight. Buffet breakfast was adequate for us as didn't want big cooked breakfast. Good value for money hotel in excellent location.

The Condestable is at the heart of Barcelona and a wonderful stepping off point for all attractions. Right next to Universitat Metro station. Our fourth-floor room extremely comfortable. Even a bath! Some road noise at night but, hey!, this is a vibrant city. Good varied breakfast and plenty of it...hot, good coffee. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return. Friendly atmosphere. Nice people.

A nice hotel near the center with very kind staff. We stayed two nights in an apartment with the same money a double room would have cost.

Simple but good location. Relation between price and what you get is ok. You can take the bus from the airport and the secondlast stop will be just 20 meter beside the hotel. Entrance is small, no space to wait in the lobby. I would go again.

Hotel is in a brilliant location. Liked this part of Barcelona, felt central and safe. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Chambers maids did fantastic job in terms of room service but the hotel itself was grubby looking as walls cracked and dirty, ceilings too. Could do with makeover. Breakfast let the hotel down. Croissants and rolls were chewy and tated awful. Coffee average and cereal only one make of sugary and unhealthy variety. Not acceptable food in a country which has such wonderful bakeries and cafe bars. Stopped eating there altogether. A kettle in the room would have been a plus, a small fridge even better. Apart from the above, enjoyed staying there and would happily go back. All night access was also a plus

Very well located within Barcelona. Room very small but as promoted serviceable and presume awaiting refurbishment. Breakfast was very satisfying. Altogether it was a welcoming stay.

The location is great close to the city center.

Although the rooms were quite basic they were still rather comfortable and within walking distance of almost everything. We rarely used taxis apart from up to camp nou! It was a great stay and a thoroughly enjoyable holiday!!

Locacted on busy intersection so could be noisy at night but the pricing was good and the location to La Ramblas, transport and other attractions very good.

A good, central location. Placa de Catalunya, La Rambla, Gothic quarter are all within a few minutes walk, but the hotel itself is near the university, so a little remoeved from the noise and crowds of those places. Good Breakfast and good price for a hotel in this rather expensive city.

We had a lovely room with two balconies overlooking the University Square. Lovely and clean, spacious and safe. Only thing missing was a hair drier in the bathroom. Otherwise no complains, good wholesome breakfast and cordial service.

A very comfortable hotel in a convenient location, just a few minutes walk from Catalunya Square and the Ramblas and with a Metro station just across road. On a busy corner, but we asked for, and were given, a quiet room.

Ideally situated for any shopping / sightseeing / or clubbing. Very pleasant staff and most helpful. Very keenly priced if you don't expect the usual hotel extras that you never use anyway

Unsurpassed for location in the 2-star class. Just 2 blocks from Placa Catalunya, stop for tour buses, airport bus, metro. Great eateries and shopping within walking distance. Hotel staff extremely helpful, substantial breakfast and comfortable room (I had a quiet one in the back, upper floors). Will stay there again.
