Confortel Almirante Hotel Barcelona

Excellent location. Situated right in the middle of the old city and across the road (virtually) from the cathedral. Hotel quite modern on the inside. Staff very helpful and friendly. My only gripe would be that we booked a double room and had it confirmed but on arrival no double rooms were available so we were given a twin. Would use again if they could 100% guarantee the room I book is the type I actually get.

Excellent location. Very basic hotel and quite noisy on a morning!

The room assigned on top floor was well sized, bright and airy. The room assigned on 6th floor was smaller and dark. The bathroom in the latter looked older and in need of maintenance and cleaning. Service and accomodation were definitely not four star. Most of the staff could not even speak English. The reception is very modern and looks wonderful, but the bedrooms are dull and in need of some renovation. No quilts were available, just old blankets, which is not expected in 4 star hotels. No shower caps were available and only one bottle of shampoo and shower gel per day were left for two people. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Location is the best thing that this hotel has.

Excellent location, 2 pc's in reception area with internet access for free for all guests, clean, tidy. Buffet at breakfast could be very hit or miss depending on the time you eat. Cooked food isn't kept heated so is cold within minutes of being put out. Don't expect much of a view from 40% of the rooms. Our room looked onto a gap between the hotel and apartments next door. This gap also housed the water pipes and venting tubes for the a/c. You couldn't even see the sky!!! Overpriced for what it is, I could get better in London for the same price and that's saying something!!!!!!!!!

I liked the hotel, I can recommend it to others! :) Good location, friendly staff, nice quite big room. Breakfast wasn't included, but for 15 EUR it could be a little better...

Great location, very close to tourist bus stop, and La Rambla area. Hotel room was very minimalist, but very clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment. We had a 6th floor room which was very modern and very quiet. Not sure you could call it 4* but for the price I got and the location, what more do you want.

Nice minimalist decor, good location in Barcelona. There was a lot of street noise but double glazed windows controlled that. Staff were helpful and recommended a cheap nice local restaurant next door for a meal when I arrived very late. It would be nice if they had no smoking rooms. I don't smoke and my room ponged. The valve to switch on my shower stopped working after the first night. I reported it but it wasn't fixed (it was the weekend), so I had to take baths after that. I plan to return to Barcelona with my wife and will stay here.

Good location, nearby metro, walking distance to sights and shopping area, OK friendly and welcoming, better if each room has a boiler for drinking hot water

This is a lovely hotel. Unassuming from the outside but beautiful clean and inside. Modern rooms with exceptionally nice bathroom and aircon. Good location, next to Irish pub. Got bus from airport to square and rolled bags down street to hotel. It is a few streets away from La Ramblas without the noise. Close to stop for great hop-on-hop-off bus (Turist). No laundry. Has internet stand alone PC. Beautiful, filling, full, breakfast buffet. loved it.

Very nice hotel with great location. I've read earlier comments about the hotel and asked for a large room in 3. og 4. floor. I think that was a very good choice ;-)

We would have liked to have had the choice of dining in the hotel which had an exellent dining room. The hotel was centrally situated so we could visit many tourist attractions on foot which for us was a plus. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay

The buffet breakfast is excellent. The rest of the hotel is of a 3 star standard with no frills!

When there is a problem with water, like it is cold for example. Make sure all the guests know before they get into the shower. Give them something to get them comfortable. For all the rest it was a great stay.

This a wonderful and exceptional hotel. The location is very convient to so many interesting sights and many good restaurants. Thank you for a very enjoyable visit to Barcelona. We shall come and stay with you again.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a wide choice of items to set you up for the day. The hotel is well placed. We shall definitely stay there again.

A very nice hotel wonderful with very helpful staff. The hotel is very centrally located, a short stroll Las Ramblas and the Port. Staying here made our holiday.

A very comfortable hotel, with extremely pleasant staff, who are most helpful. Ideally situated only a 5 min walk from La Ramblas, around the corner from the Gothic area and less than 10 mins walk from the beach and port area. We would definately stay in this hotel again.

Very friendly and helpful with regard to information on places to visit and good restaurants. Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety.
