Confortel Barcelona Hotel

I have been in Barcelona before, but I saw something completely new and very nice. I was not expecting a truly modern hotel in the midtown Barcelona, surrounded by a neighborhood with a traditional character that you hope to see in Europe. This was it! My wife and I strolled for an hour or two, selected a cafe and had the best prepared cappuccino. The internet service was flawless, and the parking was safe and well protected underground. Having free internet is always a big plus, but when they threw in the water from the minibar, I was sold! I can't think of anything negative to say. I know where to go next time I visit Barcelona.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We had a room on 7th floor. Stunning view from window! Loved swiming pool on the roof. Recommended for short stay.

Very helpful staff. Nice clean comfortable rooms. Didn't eat there. No proper bar but drinks available from the dining area. 45 walk to the centre of Barcelona, 10 minute taxi ride 20 minute tube. A very good hotel and would stay there again.

Bit out of town. Very bland. Clean throughout but rather soulless and not very welcoming.

The hotel is very clean and located within 5 minutes walking distance to metro in the outskirt of town. There is only one receptionist in the front desk most of the time and it takes a while to check in/out.

The hotel was a very good deal for the price (55 a night). By metro, it's about 15 minutes from Barcelona's gothic area and twenty to las ramblas. The hotel itself is a 5 minute walk to the metro stop. The hotel breakfast is good but overpriced. We stayed in a standard double. It was fine. Large enough bathroom, plenty of outlets, and nice enough bed. Probably not really 4 stars - maybe 3.5. The free internet is iffy. If you're trying to stay on a budget, I would recommend. Otherwise, I would probably try staying in the bari gotic area. Beware of thieves in barcelona!

Very pleased with the hotel in general. The location is slightly out of town (ramblas is not within walking distance, we tried it one night and my wife ended up with blisters) but its not a problem as there is a metro station within easy walking distance (5 minutes) and it is definatley the cheapest way of travelling around the city. The T10 ticket allows 10 journeys for 7 euros. Arrived and the pool wasn't open (February) which is understandable given the time of year but it wasn't stated anywhere and the photo of the pool is an optical illusion and really makes it out to be a lot bigger than it is! There isn't a bar at the hotel which was disappointing but the free WIFI and free security safe is definately a plus. The rooms are really spacious and the decor nice and modern.

This hotel was awesome! It was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything was very modern and looked brand new! They had free internet computers available to us, helped us with directions, and were very professional. The location is just a few blocks from the metro, and even though it looks a little scary, with grafiti around, the people were very nice and I didn't see anything to warrant my fears. Probably not the best place for a girl to be walking around at night, though. This hotel is also next to a mini Rambla, with restaurants, cafes, banks, etc. Super convenient when you need to eat, etc but don't want to make the trip out of Barcelona. I totally recommend this hotel!!

Very modern, clean hotel...very spacious room..a good distance from city centre but metro a 5 minute walk away.

We can really recommend to stay at Confortel Barcelona hotel. Nice rooms, free internet access, breakfast was superb and serviceminded staff. Good location near the beach and a "local Rambla" with nice restaurants and local people. Also close to the subway and the Diagonal Mar shopping center. The rooms where also very nice and quiet. We would definetely stay here again.

Nice hotel. Service was ok. Only 2 persons were at the reception area and the line was really long. Beach is walking distance and train station is also walking distance. so its definitely a good location. has a tiny swimming pool and gym. but the beach is so accessible, so u can forgo the pool. i would stay here again for sure!!

Really nice hotel near beach and close metro station. Breakfast was amazing with full of everything. I would deffenetly go again when visiting Barcelona!

This is a nice modern hotel, very clean, near the beach and at a good price. You have the advantage of being in a more suburban, local area but the extra travel to get into the main part of town. The different toursist sites require travel anyway, 2 stations are close, so if you want a quiet night time (by Barcelona standards) then this is OK. If you want to be central to the action then somewhere else is better.

Brand new hotel in urban district 5 mins from the beach and 15 mins walk from the Port Olympic where all the good night life happens. Very nice decor and small but clean gym with outdoor rooftop swimming pool. Quality breakfast buffet and free wifi a big bonus. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Desk staff not very helpful,did`nt understand english very well. We asked to stay a third night the rate was higher and did not include breakfast,disappointed they would not have extended same as previous two nights stay.

Close to the beach, not too far from the center. Good value for money.

New hotel, very clean, beautiful, great breakfast, nice view from the roof with a swimming pool. We had very big room with a glass walls on both sides which gave us great view to the city. Great service, quiet location and walking distance to the beach. Metro station is also two blocks away. Would definitely stay in this hotel again! Have nothing to complain at all.

Rooftop pool and terrace was nice and so were the rooms. Nice and big room and a nice bar downstairs. Only a 10 min walk from the beach.

You will love this place - both for personal and business use it has a good location with easy access to main roads and very close to the beach. The environment is under development and should become a very trendy area of Barcelona.
