"This is a good quality, reasonably priced, 2* hotel. It has recently been renovated and is conveniently situated in a quiet street close to the centre of Bordeaux. The staff speak English and are friendly. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Breakfast is available and adequate. There is secure underground car parking 100m away. " - david glendinning

"We stayed a week in August '07. We found the Hotel to be unpretentious; but it is clean, our room was adequate; the hotel staff were pleasant, helpful and hospitable; and the central location is its outstanding feature. The breaakfast is extra (and a bit pricey, but then, some things in France can be a bit pricey anyway, so we can't complain too much).
All in all, we were quite satisfied with, and can recommend, the Continental Hotel to those who want a no-frills, adequate, 2-star hotel in a great location. (Really liked Bordeaux too!)" - Anonymous
"I booked the least expensive single room and was extremely happy with everything the hotel had to offer. As a 2-star hotel, I was impressed by the level of cleanliness. It had all the basic amenities, including a very modern bathroom. The staff was very helpful as well. The location is exceptional: centrally located near shops and sites and within walking distance of the Bordeaux Tourism Office. I would suggest anyone visiting during the summer months to book a room with air-conditioning as the rooms do get stuffy. " - Anonymous
