Continentale Hotel Rome Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

Our expectations were tempered by a couple reviews we'd read, but we are usually happy with a no-frills hotel that's clean. We were VERY pleased with this hotel! It's walking distance from the train station, has a friendly staff, is in an area that we'd feel safe walking in at night (though we go to bed early!), is close to several delicious restaurants, and close to a Metro station for ease of seeing anything in Rome. It's a no-frills room that was clean and tidy and the price was shockingly low. GREAT VALUE! And the staff was friendly and helpful, too.

Great location, close to central station (less than 5 minutes walk) rooms quite small and basic but comfortable. Easy to walk to most of the central historic sights and very close to Metro. Breakfast was good for this class of hotel. Would stay here again.

Room was clean and a good size, bathroom was ok but the shower cubicle was tiny. Short walk to Termini and Rome transport connections. Laundromat and well priced eateries around. Breakfast was good and served for about 3 hours, good if you need a bit of a sleep in after a night out in Rome! Would stay again.

Great value for money stay in central Rome. Excellent breakfast. Clean. Ensuite room 348 at the back of hotel was quiet and comfortable and has a small balcony instead of a window. Helpful staff.

We needed for a hotel for one night after arrival in Rome before we trained it to Venice. The Continentale is reasonable value for the price, but may not be suitable for long stay.

The room and tv were small, and the shower was just the head coming out of the wall, with a curtain around it. But, it was cheap and close to the train station - which was what I needed. Breakfast was just ok.

This is a cheap hotel but adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was adequate for the price range. There are a set of stairs to the reception and then a lift to the rooms. Bedroom had been refurbished but the bathroom hasn't, shower has no tray there is just a plug in the floor so you have to wait for the floor to dry before using it again

Everything is ok EXCEPT the bathroom is very tiny (exact one person size no turn around) and water goes hot and cold very frequently. Survive is possible

Good cheap hotel, very close to Metro and Termini, a little noisy if you sleep with windows open. Bathroom is tiny but clean. Breakfast is good but nothing fancy, wish they had coffemaker or electric kettle in a room. Staff is very courteous, helpful and speaking English. If you on a budget and looking for hotel just to sleep in - it is a good choice.

The location was good close to central station and buses to airport. The first room was small as was the shower etc. Breakfast was adequate. It was most likely typical of most of the hotels in the area - basic accomodation. It was not as cheap as other hotels we stayed at all over Europe but price was comparable to other in the same area of Rome - perhaps Rome was just the most expensive. The second room -on the return stay was larger but still could not get an English speaking channel on the small TV

Air conditioning did not work, it came on and made noise but no cold air. There were no facilities to speak of. The buffet breakfast was decent enough but not much choice. The location is very good though. No car parking facilities, nearest car park is a 10 minute walk.

Price (with [website]) is very nice. Low to mid range hotel, but okay. Plus of this hotel: breakfast better than usual in such places.
