From the Port: reach Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia and then Piazza della Borsa. Take Corso Italia and turn at the second street on the left. Hotel Continentale is on the right.

Great hotel to stay at, it's on a walking street. only 1 km from the train & bus station. We stayed there for a 3 day rest break in the middle of a world trip. The hotel was really good, breskfast was very good but not a great selection of hot food in the buffee, mainly only eggs, but had plenty of cold food to choose from. Posiition was excellent. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Trieste is not really a hot tourist area but there is plenty to do there but for only a short stay ov 3 days max.

Pros: Very tidy, excellent location. Cons: Room service is limited to evening hours, no wireless network available. Some employees are arrogant and are certainly working in wrong place.
Although a very clean comfortable hotel, the service from the staff was very poor for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is great providing you get there when the doors open at 7.00am otherwise you are in danger of having nothing left!
A very good location, right in the heart of the town. Room very spacious and clean. Front desk service excellent until about midnight, when the hotel porter who could not speak English took over. Could not get hot water in the shower and the porter was useless when I phoned down asking for help. I happned to get a very good rate on this hotel. After the shower experience, I would have second thoughts about staying there again, especially if I had to pay the usual four star rates. Otherwise, good.

Nice centrally located hotel on a pedestrian street, recently refurbished to a high standard. Rooms are a good size. Breakfast was good.
