The hotel staff, facilities and location were all very good...the only disappointment we had was there was no air conditioning which meant we had to open the windows. .and being in the middle of a city it was quite noisy! But overall we had an enjoyable stay and would use this hotel again
nice hotel in a great location
Excellent location in the centre of Birmingham. Hotel clean and tidy, room straightforward with comfortable bed (hard pillows). Good value for the location. Parking on site but at £12 per night.
Nice Hotel, Good breakfast, prices obviously driven down with wetherspoons next door! Rooms whilst comfortable and clean are definately getting tired.
Excellent location. Cleanliness average, One Pubic hair in bath. Friendly Staff. Overall decor could do with an upgrade.
City centre hotel, good location, nice rooms although too warm in the night and too noisy to open window. beds also on the hard side. Apart from that a very well placed, reasonably priced hotel.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel, the service is always of a high standard and I have never had cause to complain. It is situated nicely for both the town centre (approx 5-10mins walk) and the main Broad Street entertainment zone ( approx 5mins away) making it an ideal place to stay in birmingham
The facilities at the hotel are average, staff polite and friendly, and beds very comfortable. I was impressed with how quiet my room was despite it over looking a busy ring road just 3 floors up. The triple glazing was very effective at keeping out the traffic noise
Pleasant bedroom, excellent location and friendly staff - couldn't really ask for more. An overnight extractor fan was a bit noisy but you eventually got used to it.
The hotel is in a very convenient location especially for the people visiting the city for the first time. The breakfast was great and the accessibility to the shopping centre from the hotel was straight forward.
Well located, clean, good facilities but the room and the rest of the hotel was too hot.
Great hotel very central everything as is describes on the web. My daughters and i only stayed 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Burmingham.
The hotel was incredibly noisy from other bedrooms & a faulty extractor fan.
Stayed many times before. I thought all the staff were exceptional. All made the effort to say hello, with a smile too! which gave the hotel a nice feel! I would stay here again.
My partner and i stayed at The Copthorne after a show in Birmingham. The location was great and in walking distance of restaurants. When arriving at the hotel the receptionist was not very personal and we were treated as if it was a production line - he was obviously bored of saying the same thing over and over again; sign here and here, heres your key, times of meals are written here etc. We had booked a non smoking room but all the rooms seemed to be mixed together; non smoking and smoking so walking along the corridor to out room stank of smoke - luckily the room didn't smell at all. Breakfast was nice, hot or a selection of cereal, toast and fruit. My only annoyance was no proper butter only flora!! My luxury in a hotel is real butter on my toast and they didn't have it - the waitress looked at me as if i was mad when i asked for it. All in all a nice pleasant stay.
The hotel was very centrally located and was clean. However our room was bady in need of an update with cupboard doors hanging off and outdated interior. However the worst thing was the positioning of a jazz bar below our room, which bellowed out music until 1am.
the hotel was ideally locally for my business in birmingham - my only reservation was the lack of car parking the hotel had to offer both from the amount of parking and the security of it. I had to park in the nearby National car park which was not ideal.
Hotel is in an excellent location, near to city centre shops and also the nightlife of broad street and brindleyplace. Not the most modern of hotels, but I really don't think this matters as everything was immaculately clean and the room was spacious. Reception staff friendly and helpful. No complaints at all, would definately stay again.
Hotel was very clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant. Only negatives were the tv kept freezing so i had to keep switching it off quite often. Also the bed i was on had a broken leg in the middle - which i reported at the end of my visit as the bed could still be slept on. Situatated about 10mins walk from town center and less than 1min form a 'mini center' with a mcdonalds, wetherspoons, nandos, paper shop, gregs bakery and other food outlets.
The hotel was spotlessly clean, perhaps in need of a refurb. No complaints whatsoever, the towels were immaculate as was the bedding which was very comfy. I would stay here again.
