Copthorne Orchid Hotel Singapore

Its a good hotel but it is about to close soon either Jan/Feb 2011. Very near to Orchard Road

The hotel is ok for travellers not concerned with the niceties so much (those who are out all day and just sleep in the hotel). The room is small and old, needs renovation. But the staff are polite and very helpful.

The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Good place for family trip.

Location is far to eat and MRT.

This is a very good hotel although it is a bit out of the way from the main city centre, it does offer a free shuttle to the city centre. So you don't really feel the distance. However, what I will remember most about the hotel is the service. I arrived at Singapore at 6:00 AM and was at the hotel by 6:30 AM. By the rules I couldn't check-in until 2:00 PM but the hotel very kindly let me check-in at 8:30 AM into the first room the cleaners cleaned after arriving at 8:00 AM (they couldn't let me check in before because they didn't have any clean rooms) and they didn't charge me a sent extra! It was really appreciated because after an 8 hour flight from Australia I was really tired. I will definitely be staying with them again should I happen to find myself in Singapore.

The hotel rooms are a bit dated. The corridor carpeting has a musky odour and the air-conditioning can be a bit noisy. Service is good but transport is inconvenient as there are not many taxis available during peak periods and there isn't a subway nearby

it's time to upgrade the facilities, service and appearance of the hotel. it'll make ppl experience value of the stay

Convenient, clean, quiet. Good beds, good shower, good meals. Thats all I want in a hotel.

For a business traveler certainly not the hotel to stay - a typical tourist hotel which had seen better days. Wireless internet only works properly out of certain rooms. Would not stay there again.

Good location for a quiet & away from the bustling atmosphere. The shuttle bus make you accessible and so convenient to shopping area. We could just have anything we need.

Good for Malaysian Airlines coach pickup for Johor Bharu otherwise not so good location. Room somewhat drab. Noisy airconditioning on 2 occasions. Very loud disco next to restaurant. Restaurant buffet very good in quality, quantity and price.

The hotel kindly offered us a room ofr one hour to have a shower before an evening flight. we had checked out at 9am prior to a city tour. The best part was that it was no charge. We will return. Thank you Copthorne Orchid!

Complimentary breakfast very boring. Same throughout and very limited buffet spread. Should give options without breakfast with a lower hotel rate.

Quiet place to relax and the ambience is good. Easy access to the town. Took less than 20 mins to visit the Night Safai by cab. On the whole it was a pleasant stay.

Excellent value hotel. A little bit out of the way of public transport but still in a good location as taxis are cheap. Would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a mid-price hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Copthorne Orchid Hotel, the staff were all so helpful and friendly. I loved the free shuttle bus taking us to Orchard Road and bringing us back to the hotel up until 10pm. Being away from all the hustle and bustle made it very quiet and great to get a good nights sleep, the gym and pool were great.

We travelled as a family of 5, 2 adults in one room and 3 children in an adjoining room, so this hotel suited us particularly in relation to price. While the rooms we had were nothing startling they were clean, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was reliable so everyone got a good nights sleep.There is a bus stop close by so if you are prepared to bus and train and possibly bus again to get anywhere the location is fine. Public transport runs frequently. We would certainly stay there again.

The hotel has free shuttle service to Orchard Road. The breakfast is excellent.
