"Nice top level hotel offering good room rate through [Website]. We had a great view of harbour from our modern, clean room. The service was wonderful with lovely restaurant staff who bent over backwards to assist. Oriental Bay is a lovely location and about $10 by cab to the center of town (Lambert Quay) or a 20 min stroll... wind permitting. About $40-$45 by cab from the airport. Good fast internet service which you can buy 2 hour or 24hr lots. I didn't find a laundry and I think you would have to use the dry cleaning service.
Short stroll towards town uncovers a great small fringe comedy club and lots of cheap cafes. Loved it. " - Sherry Grinstead

By Car - The motor way is well sign posted for directions to Oriental Bay. Copthorne Hotel Wellington Oriental Bay is about 200m along Oriental Parade from the North.
By Rail or Bus - Wellington Rail Station is 1.5km from the Hotel. Metro trains & national lines arrive and depart from here, and this is also the Bus Station for intercity passengers. A taxi costs $10 - $15.
By Air - Wellington Airport serves national and international flights and is 8 kms from the hotel. There is a taxi stand at the front entrance of the Terminal. Street maps available at Airport Visitor Information Centre should you be driving. All major Rental Car Companies have a service from the airport. Taxi from the Airport costs $25 - $30.
By Sea - The Interisland Line sail between the North & South Island for both cars and passengers. Easy drive from the ferry terminal to the hotel and the route is well sign posted. Taxi cost $25-$30. |
