Copthorne Resort Lakefront Queenstown

Great location for town 5 mins walk. Rooms spacious and clean and nice bathrooms. Excellent bar and restaurant and efficient service. Free car parking and nice views and would recommend.

Good location handy to town. Very nice meals reasonably priced Great to have carpark close to room Great room rates on "Rates To Go" Would definately stay again!

Service at the front desk were friendly,we got upgraded to a superior room which seemed quite new and was very clean.we had 2 children under the age of 5 and was very child friendly.had a free buffet breakfast included which was great and the two children ate for free.would definatly stay there again

My wife and I stayed at the Copthorne for 2 nights. We were upgraded on arrival and the front desk helped in booking all of our tours for us. It is only a five minute walk to the centre of town which is very handy. The internet is not free, however you do get 20 minutes free WiFi in the upstairs lounge bar. This is the only area I could suggest improvements as a lot of places now give you free WiFi with no time restrictions. The staff were all friendly, professional and well dressed.

Resort was nice, rooms were nice & bed very comfortable. Parking was good & close & rooms quiet & well heated. The negative was the false fire alarm at 2am. From a directions perspective & management perspective it was not managed well. Firstly the directions on the door told how to exit the building but not where to go after that & told us to refer to the room information book, which is dangerous & really only told us to read the info on the back door. After exiting we decided to go to reception. on the way fire fighters were trying to get into the parking area & couldn't. People were collating in the reception room. Again not a great idea in the event of a real fire. There was no staff direction, no-one appeared to be checking that people had actually evacuated..... & after it was all over eventually a staff member came over & said it was a false alarm and to return to our rooms. over all very unprofessional and dangerous.

The hotel is in a good position just on the edge of Queenstown and our rooms were large and nicely furnished. TV a bit old fashioned but we were too busy to turn it on! We found a really good rate of $139 for double room and very good buffet breakfast. Would definately stay there again.

Convenient to Town and Airport.

It is functional and clean, but the place is starting to show it's age.

Bathrooms were not up to standard of a 4 and a half star hotel. View was not desirable. Cocktails were amazingly good value and reasonably priced. Overall a little dated in need of restoration

It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to share my thoughts of our stay at the 'Copthorne Resort Lakefront Queenstown, New Zealand'. To maximise our experience we booked into a 'Lake View' double room & were elated when we were informed that had a free upgrade to the 'Superior' (their best room), free of charge. Although not new hotel it remained well maintained & was clean & tidy throughout. Our room had all the trimmings & had plenty of room, oh so nice for a change. Service was excellent & position was quite central, all in all making our stay a pleasure. Eric Askin (Christchurch, NZ)

It is been good experience ,it would have been batter with Air condition room but that doesn't matter for queenstown.

The bathroom smelt like it had not been well cleaned

Lovely hotel with wonderful staff. Good restaurant menu or if you want something lighter the meals in the bar are great. I have stayed many times in different rooms and they are always clean and comfortable. This hotel is also accessible for people with disabilities which is a plus if you're a wheelchair user. Great conferencing team too if you ever need to book a conference venue.

We enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The service was excellent. Staffs were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our room had a wonderful view of the lake and the hotel was very centralized. We would recommend to everybody.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful location, within easy walking distance of town centre (< 10 minues). View form lake-view rooms is stunning, well worth the additional price. Rooms were excellent and well-appointed. Free booking service for local activities is very useful. Breakfast was just ok, but there are plenty of places in town. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice rooms and hotel, was let down by the condescending manner of the duty manager

Overall, the hotel provides clean and good services, a good location, I certaintly use it next time when I come down to Queenstown.
